If you put lemonade powder in ur shampoo bottle && use it does it really work?

My cousin told me if your put lemonade powder in your shampoo bottle then shake it up %26amp;%26amp; use it like you would any other shampoo it gets your hair lighter little by little is that true??If you put lemonade powder in ur shampoo bottle %26amp;%26amp; use it does it really work?
I've never heard of it but being a science major, I can tell you that lemon possibly can not be good for hair. Lemon/lemonade/lemonade powder all contain acetic acid which is bad for hair follicles. It dries out the hair, makes them brittle, and prone to damage. I do know that Vodka (or rather the alcohol in it) makes hair strands lighter in color. It is of course not good for hair but if you want just slightly lighter highlights in your hair, rub about two tablespoon of vodka on the tip of your hair before going out in the sun. It makes the hair slightly lighter and it is not as bad as rubbing your entire head with acetic acid. Btw, just so you know shampoo contains acid in small quantities as well but it is meant to cleanse your hair not make it lighter. =)If you put lemonade powder in ur shampoo bottle %26amp;%26amp; use it does it really work?
No. But you could use mayo to make it softer.

I read that in a book and tried it out and it made my hair silky. But it smelled bad. I guess you should just go with regular shampoo.
It would probably dry out your hair because lemonade powder is acidy as well as total sugar.
definitely not. use mayo-add 2 parts mayo to 0ne part reg. shampoo and there you go! put in more shampoo if it still smells. lol-have fun!
No, I wouldn't do that.
no
