I mean there are lot of choices out there for hair care shampoos...some shampoo is .94 a bottle at Walmart...some are $7 or even more..does it really make the difference on your hair?Does it really matter to your hair whether you buy $15 bottle shampoo or $2 shampoo?
Yes, sadly, it does. The Ph levels in salon
brands versus supermarket brands is
different. The salon brands are far better for
your hair. But if you have relatively healthy
hair and cannot afford to use salon products,
just use the cheap supermarket shampoos and
conditioners. If you're not a hairmodel and don't
need everyone to be constantly staring at your
hair and judging its health - don't worry about
it. Just pay for an occassional salon shampoo
and treatment conditioning once in a while as a
healthy treat for your hair.
Edited to add - do not use sunsilk or pantene
from the supermarket. Try the cheaper
supermarket brand schwartzkoph has made for
the at home users.
Pepper.Does it really matter to your hair whether you buy $15 bottle shampoo or $2 shampoo?
it actually does.
the cheap ones have a lot of detergent in them. the more expensive name brands use better ingredients.
I was reading a ';beauty secrets'; book today, and it said cheap shampoos wash as good (or better) as the expensive ones and to just buy those. I've used expensive shampoos (paul mitchell) and either i dont like it, or it doesnt work good for my hair. The only one I can say that I like (and its a wash-out conditioner) is Biolage. I have dry frizzy curly hair so i need lotsa conditioning. But the shampoos aren just meant to ';wash'; your hair and remove biuldup, does nuttin special, at least in my opinion. I think conditioners matter the most.
yeah it does. because the cheap ones dont really help your hair. expensive things are always better. the ones you get at a salon really help because professionals like made the shampoo so its better quality. (:
yes. It matters sooooo much. The people who don't know any better either don't see the difference now because of ignorance or they will later see the difference down the road.
love your logo!
listen its not the price...........its the ingredients.......one of the most concerning problems I see in the last couple years is a huge problem in young people with hair loss..... and I attribute it to a couple ingredients in certain shampoos......The type of shampoo you use has nothing to do with cost......the most important factor now-a-days is to make sure your shampoo does NOT have SLS Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or sister ALS Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate in it....
those 2 ingredients have come to the surface as destroying hair follicles....which results in hair thinning and hair loss......if you were to call every major shampoo manufacturer right now and asked them what the biggest change they see in shampoo's their answer would be the elimination of those 2 ingredients........
go get your shampoo...............right now............look at the ingredients......
is it in there?
do you use body liquid soap as well? look on there......its in there too............
why would you use something you wash your body with.......on your hair?
there is a list of 20 shampoo's with no SLS in them on my hair blog.......if you need some names.............

I have been on a mission to find an inexpensive one without the 2 lethal ingredients and the best one I can find is made by ORGANIXHAIR.......i bought it and tried it and its just fine....there is definetely a diffference in shampoos but as a chemist it has solely to do with ingredients and thats IT!
Yes absolutly it does! hair is the one place where (i personally believe) you can never be cheap.... having the best hair products is the best thing for your hair...this kinda sucks that its expensive but if you can afford the good stuff use matrix or redkin and the __sexyhair line thoes are what i use...if you cant afford the good stuff, go with inner science or pantene....and as far as styling products go...try alberto european his mousse is fantastic and costs like 5 bucks!
Yeah, it does. Some shampoos that are cheap don't really help your hair, and sometimes it can damage your hair too. The ones that are more expensive, tend to help your hair more. I recommend Dove Shampoo though, cause it isn't that expensive and it makes your hair really soft.
not really. I prefer the .94 cent ones over the 15 dollar ones. I have good hair, and I only use the cheap stuff.
Oh yeah, it makes a huge difference, try experimenting with it to determine the best shampoo for your hair.
