What would a psychologist have to say about the teen who has a habit of removing labels from shampoo bottles?

As a psychologist I would say it's perfectly normal. Teenagers like peeling stuff. Ask any barman in a student's union and he or she will point you in the direction of a hundred beer bottles with no labels on them. As long as she's not swapping the labels on your tinned food I wouldn't worry too much!
its just the same as taking the label off a beer bottle I do that all the time and so do lots of people i know, it must be more of a challenge in the bath tho when it gets wet and stuff and annoying for the next person who has to guess which is the conditioner and which the shampoo, but I don't think there is anything ab normal about this.
Apparently it has to do with sexual frustration. This is, of course, bull. You're fine.
I like doing that too! Its cos they start to peel and go all bitty and the bits fall in the bath unless u peel them off first! lol so glad it's not just me! Failing that, they may just say she likes a suprise when it comes to what scent shampoo to use?!

it's normal. don't worry about it. i do it to ketchup, mustard, etc, bottles. lol.
If they are any good they would say that your teen is a few years away from removing labels from beer bottles.
Some labels come off in the water anyway...they peel right off. Maybe she just likes seeing the paper come off of the bottle..it might be a cool sensation- I do the same thing sometimes just because I don't like when the paper is kind of hanging off, it's soggy and wet..
I used to sit at the dinner table doing that and peeling off the wallpaper in my bedroom and drawing under it.





It comes from boredom. It is a bit of a destructive instinct. I suppose when you are in the bath the labels go loose with the steam.





I describe it as a childish action.
