Squeeze shampoo bottle on the side?

have u noticed that when u use shampoo (or body wash, etc)

if u squeeze it normally (front %26amp; back), it would kinda suck back the shampoo when u stop squeezing

but

if u squeeze the bottle on the side, u will see that the shampoo will keep coming out, seems like the air is sucked in simutaneously..

what kind of physics are we talking bout here? anyone??

thanks very muchSqueeze shampoo bottle on the side?
This is one question that I really want to watch!

Kinda dumb, but interesting - glad you asked it!!!Squeeze shampoo bottle on the side?
I dunno but Im going to use this technique when washing my hair!
When you squeeze the bottle, when the shampoo comes out, there is vacuum created inside the bottle so air/shampoo rushes into it due to the pressure difference.

When you are squeezing the bottle, at the point that you squeeze it the most, if the mouth of the bottle is covered it shampoo(body wash or whatever) the shampoo rushes in. However, when the mouth of the bottle is not totally covered by the shampoo air rushes in. So as long as the mouth is not totally covered with the shampoo air goes in, else shampoo goes in. It has nothing to do with where you squeeze it.
