they just want you to repeat so you use up more shampoo and run out faster so you'll go and buy more and they make more money. ( so i think) I don't really see a point in repeating? When you run out of shampoo %26amp; have to buy more. That is the only reason those instructions say ';repeat'; UNLESS your hair is real dirty.
I think its been changed to: lather, rinse, repeat daily as needed.
