Why are Shampoo bottles always clear but Conditioner bottles aren't?

The Shampoo bottles are clear, but Conditioners aren't. I've only seen one Conditioner bottle that's clear.Why are Shampoo bottles always clear but Conditioner bottles aren't?

usually it's because the shampoo is colored, and the conditioner isn't and they want them to match.

the conditioner can breakdown in sunlight. while it's rare that the bottle will actually be in sunlight, it's done as a preventive measure.
So that people can tell the difference. I am not really so sure.
