My wife is driving me crazy..why would she buy a bottle of some lotion, shampoo, hair spray, etc...uses only.?

about 1/2 of it then get some other stuff. She doesnt finish the old product nor throw it away. Is this normal? We are running out of storage space quick. (BTW, she caught me trying to throw away some of her stuff on the sly so I cant do that anymore.)My wife is driving me crazy..why would she buy a bottle of some lotion, shampoo, hair spray, etc...uses only.?
You made me laugh when you said she caught you trying to throw some things away. My mother is like that. My sister and I went into the bathroom and threw away a bunch of crap that she hadn't used in years. We went back in there an hour later and the crap was right back on the shelf with a yelling match to boot. ^_^

I found that the best solution slowly throw away the older products that she hasn't touched in a while and then work your way up.

............

Okay, so that's not too great of a solution but you could try negotiating with her and asking her if she would go through her products with you and see which ones she actually uses (which if she's like my mom she'll find a use for anything).

Good luck to you.

EDIT: I thought of another solution. You could purchase her Paula Begoun's ';Don't Go To The Cosmetics Counter Without Me.'; I think she would buy less products if she read this book.

http://shop.paulaschoice.com/product/443鈥?/a>My wife is driving me crazy..why would she buy a bottle of some lotion, shampoo, hair spray, etc...uses only.?
LOL.

Perfectly normal.

I've got loads of half-used stuff in the cabinets in my bathroom.

We just like to try new things. I'll admit, it is a bit of an obsession, and we are always trying to find something that works better, smells better, makes us feel better. It's just nice to pamper yourself.

Maybe you could pamper her and she wouldn't feel the need to have so many things like that? Just a thought. Get her regular massages and spa treatments if she likes going to the spa. Then she may not feel the need to try so many new ways to feel good about herself (If that's the reason she's doing it..some of us just like trying new things and buy the latest thing that comes out) ;-)
When my Hubby gets on me about the dozens of half used product bottles and jars in our cupboard I tell him he's lucky I don't collect expensive shoes or jewelry! You are lucky too! What's the harm here? I think most women do the same thing. You might help her out and clear out a shelf that has all your holey tee shirts and ripped up underwear and let her have that space! She'll be so surprised!

So chill out and buy her a sephora gift certificate!
it is totally normal. we all do that
It sounds like she's buying the wrong products. If she hasn't consulted with her stylist (or at least someone well-informed), then you'll be stuck with her half-full bottles until she does!

The problem with over-the-counter products is that there's no guarantee that they'll work for her. A reputable salon will guarantee not only their work, but the products they prescribe and sell. It's a waste of money and space, and can be frustrating.

Have her look for a salon that can actually point her in the right direction - then donate the products she's half-used to a shelter.
Um...your asking if I can explain to you the mystery of the female mind??

I'd have an easier time explaining the theory of quantum physics....

Women are a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.
Haha, your wife sounds just like me! Yes, I think it is normal(well, maybe I'm not normal.....hmmm....) for women to only use half of a product and then find something else they like better. We have a tendency to change our minds alot and get bored with the same products over and over and over! Hope this helps.....and good luck getting rid of some of her stuff!:-)
it's a girl thing!!!we like to make sure we have enough stuff

  • Can I take my hairspray/shampoo/perfume bottles in my check in lugage?

I have expensive products that I dont wait to risk giving up and need on my trip to DC. Any comments? Can I take my hairspray/shampoo/perfume bottles in my check in lugage?
Your containers need to be less than 3.4 oz and secured in a zip loc bag no larger than 1 quart. Can I take my hairspray/shampoo/perfume bottles in my check in lugage?
Yes, you can bring all the liquids with you that you want as long as they are checked before you go through security. The rule only applies to carryon luggage.
yes as long as it is not in your carry-on. You can check your luggage with any of those.
well make sure its no glass if not you can take it but cant you just buy it on the way when you get there also mabey youll fine something better and cheper i no what you mean
Hairspray no. Shampoo and perfume ok. The internet can tell you more.
you can put it in your check in lugage instead of a carry on but if you bring it as a carry on make sure it is safley secured in a zip-lock baggy

Why does glass bottle is no longer use as a container of shampoo?

help please for my reportWhy does glass bottle is no longer use as a container of shampoo?
Too dangerous, should the glass break and hit your feet. Plus, I'd imagine plastic bottles are easier to produce than glass. Why does glass bottle is no longer use as a container of shampoo?
When glass bottles are dropped they can break. Plastic bottles don't so they are safer to use in the shower. It isn't good to have broken glass in the shower where you will probably have bare feet.

Can I recycle my old shampoo and conditioner bottles?

And, could I just put them in my regular recycle (paper and plastic), or would I have to take them to a recycling center? Can I recycle my old shampoo and conditioner bottles?
There are seven (7) categories of plastics (or resins). Check for the recycle symbol on your bottles. The recycle company that services our area will only take type #1 and type #2 plastics for curbside pick-up. Chances are that your shampoo and conditioner bottles are either #1 or #2 as those two categories account for 90% of resin packaging.

Otherwise, check the link below for a local place to recycle other resin/plastic types. Can I recycle my old shampoo and conditioner bottles?
check the bottle, but I would suspect they would be able to be recycled
Check the bottom of the bottle, it will have the recycle symbol on it if it's recyclable.

I'm able to do mixed recycling where I live, so I put everything that is recyclable in paper bags. Pretty cool!
Don't worry about it. Just burn the plastic ones in a burn barrel.
look for the recycle symbol on the bottle or ask you recycle center what numbers they take. that should be on the bottle also i think 7 is the highest number? you should double check, you can recycle almost anything even some bags your bread comes in is recyclable :)
In New York, these items can be recycled once you rinse it.

My bottle of shampoo says lather , rinse, repeat......how many times do I do so?

BEST ANSWER GETS LOTSA STARS........My bottle of shampoo says lather , rinse, repeat......how many times do I do so?
Don't follow those instructions--they're just trying to get you to waste shampoo. Lather and rinse well. Unless you just doused your hair in motor oil, there's no reason to repeat.

Overshampooing can dry hair.My bottle of shampoo says lather , rinse, repeat......how many times do I do so?
If you follow the directions right, you'll never finish. Go get back to it and clean the suds off your keyboard.
I wash once with Shampoo and then use conditioner unless its has been a few days since my last wash (I am a new mom) then I wash twice to cut the grease! lol. Happy Sudzin' up!
Meaning Lather, Rinse, and repeat daily. Or twice a day if you wish to do so.

    Hope this helps.
Until all of your hair are gone.
You don't have to do the ';repeat'; part unless you absolutely want to. If you have alot of product in your hair or if your hair is really greasy or dirty then you probably should shampoo twice. If you wash your hair everyday then you only need to lather, scrub, and rinse!

The ultimate reason of repeating is to make sure you get all the product off your scalp and hair so you don't get product build up and clog your hair folicle.

Can I mix 4 shampoos in one bottle and to wash my hair?

Can I have any benefit form it?Or can it has bad effect?I`m thinking of it because i have tried many kind of shampoos and nothink worked,I have oily scalp and very very dry ends!I don`t know what to do!Can I mix 4 shampoos in one bottle and to wash my hair?
sounds like you have lice...you're nastyCan I mix 4 shampoos in one bottle and to wash my hair?
Is ur hair thick or fine, curly or straight? You might lose your hair so be careful if you mix products, read the ingredients bcos u don't want a shock! Try using a specialist shampoo for greasy hair and rinse with fairly hot water, repeat the process and then put a special conditioner to the dry ends (or oil) and leave it in, if there's too much conditioner in the ends, semi-rinse. Repeat that every 2 days and you'll probably be happy quite soon.
You could but I think it would make it more oily. I found Fructis (green bottle $3.00 a bottle) works really well. Make sure your rinse you hair very well with warm or hot water. That should help. If you use alot of products a deep conditioner may help rinse all the gunk out. I would not mix 4...I would give the ones I don't like away (that's what I do)
You mustn't mix even two shampoos during one wash! they have different pH-levels, and you'll have horrible results.

If you have oily scalp, try a mild shampoo and then rinse your hair with some herbs-extract: for this consult dermatologist. after that apply conditioner for dry hair - but only on hair-ends.

don't rinse your hair with hot water: this will irritate your scalp and make it produce even more oil. water must be cool-warm.

i have the same problem, but my hair looks gorgeous:)

    good luck
try ayurvedic shampoos.dont mix %26amp; use its not gud.put henna once in while.i recommend himalayan shampoo.if not ayurvedic den use garnier.it'll certainly help.have lots of fruit juice %26amp; water
well, that depends on ur type of hair... and 4 me, sometimes i mix shampoos, but it doesnt seem good with all the shampoos, u can find n magazines ur type of hair, and what goes on it, i use 2 types of shampoos.. they may look old .. but they work.. i use dove, and head and shoulders... its seems lame and stupid, but its NOT.
Mixing them will not help. Buy a good conditioner to use after you shampoo.
    just try it
    Sure...why not?.....But you'd probably smell like some crazed french whoa..........Thats WHOOOOO-A.
yes you can get all of the helpings in one like straight and silky and color save and strong etc
It is actually beneficial to change your shampoo. I use Sauve during the week and Selsun Blue on the weekend.

You may want to use a shampoo that works on oily scalp and a leave on conditioner to work on those dry ends.
dont mix it up u use it differently one by one otherwise ti WILL KILL YOUR HAIR!!!!
Yes you can as long as they are regular shampoos and the fragrances are compatible.

You do not want to mix shampoos like dandruff ones with others because it will cut down on their effectiveness.

Also make sure the fragrances you want to mix mix well together. The last thing you want is to end up with some horrible smelling shampoo.

Mix one one cap full of each together first, smell it and then use it and see what happens.
my mother washes her hair in washing up liquid yes the stuff you us for your dishes, her hair is always shinny and she says it stops split ends
What Phil said was soo unecessary, but anyway you should try going to the doctor and asking him/her for a special shampoo. My cousin has a special shampoo for her scalp. So just go talk to your doctor about it and go from there..hope I helped! =)
    it will ruine your hair

So I want my hubbie to go as a bottle of body wash...any ideas for his costume

Lookin how to make a bottle of body wash or bottle of shampoo. This is 4 my husband.I'm going as a shower pouf?
The simplest thing would be to cut foam (think the sort the novelty fingers at sporting events) into the shape of your favorite brand then enlarge the label with a scanner copier or projector and trace and paint on. This might be another solution: http://www.ehow.com/how_4529195_person-t鈥?/a> . Or take a slim cardboard box w/ arm, leg and head holes and round off the corners sealing with duct tape. Paint the box a uniform color and add a brand name, inspire realism by just painting the shadows of the letters. Good luck! I hope you guys win!

Am I the only one who holds up a lamp, or a bottle of shampoo, or any object, and pretends to accept an Oscar?

Or does evertyone do this secretly?Am I the only one who holds up a lamp, or a bottle of shampoo, or any object, and pretends to accept an Oscar?
I do that too. I also pretend to be interviewed by a talk show host.Am I the only one who holds up a lamp, or a bottle of shampoo, or any object, and pretends to accept an Oscar?
No, you're probably not the only one, but one of the few to admit it!

Congratulations, by the way. ; )
    You're the only one.
LOL; I'm sure a lot of people do this, but will not admit it!!! As far as getting ';all teary eyed';, YES, you are a lunatic......I mean that good naturedly. :)
Nope, my 5 year old walks around thanking the academy :o)
You are not alone - sometimes after i take a shower or number two, i thank everyone for being there and supporting me in my achievements. Sad.
nope, can't say I ever have done that.

Do you smell shampoo bottles in store?

When buying a new type shampoo bottle do you smell it before hand?Do you smell shampoo bottles in store?
    of course,

you have to check, or you could be leaving smelling like compost with citrus bursts :s.

who wants to smell like that

XD. xDo you smell shampoo bottles in store?
yeah, I do and I read the back of the label. I want to make sure I don't buy a stinky shampoo that would smell like cat urine.
Sure I do. I want to know how my hair will smell after shampooing. I LOVED the smell when I used to use ';body on tap'; shampoo, but can no longer find it. :(
I never done that I usually make sure it has moisturizer that I want in it. Never thought of smelling it!
    Sometimes
Of course. I want a shampoo that isn't going to make my hair smell weird.
    always
Yep even if I have smelled it before I just wanna check to make sure
    who doesnt...
yes cos i dont want my hair to smell like ***
yes always, I don't want my hair to smell weird.
    yup
heck yes, im going to pay hard earned money for it, i want one that smells good enough
    Yeah!!!

how else would you know what it smells like?

Where can you recycle shampoo bottles?

i was reading the back of my shampoo bottle...and it said it could be recycled. do you just bring it to the same recycling center as all the other glass and plastic bottles? or does it need to be separated?Where can you recycle shampoo bottles?
yeah throw it in the blue recycle bin, as far as i know you cant get $ for itWhere can you recycle shampoo bottles?
Every one in America should be required to recycle by law. If they can't agree on the war, the illegal immigrants, or global warming, at least they could do this.
As far as im aware it doesn't need to be separated. Make sure it's rinced out properly and the cap it taken off.
As far as I know according to the little number in the recycle symbol, shampoo bottles, laundry soap bottles etc can just be put in the blue box or in with the rest of the plastic bottles. Way to go green!!
You should check for the number in the triangle, usually on the bottom of the bottle. If the number is a 1 or a 2, you can toss the bottle in with other recyclable plastic, such as soda bottles and milk jugs.

Some areas have facilities to recycle the higher numbers, and if you are in such an area, the recycling bins will be clearly labelled as such.

It helps to rinse all recycled materials.

Best way to clean used shampoo/body wash bottles to use as pot plants?

I want to reuse my body wash/shampoo/conditioner containers as pots for plants - is anyone aware of any methods of cleaning that will get rid of all traces of the chemicals etc so that my plants have the best start possible? Thanks!Best way to clean used shampoo/body wash bottles to use as pot plants?
If you have a dishwasher, I would put them through that on the top rack. If you don't have a dishwasher, then I would rinse them out really well, at least until foam didn't come out of the top anymore, then soak them in warm clear water.

Kudos to you! I admire you for recycling! My son uses orange juice and soy milk carton which cannot be recycled because they are wax covered, paints or decorates the outside, and uses them to grow plants.

Eh, don't listen to the nay-sayers. Good to ask and good for you.Best way to clean used shampoo/body wash bottles to use as pot plants?
Once the containers have been washed in hot water and soap your plants won't be affected. I use yogurt tubs and small cups for pot plants, easier to get to and the plants get more water coverage than using taller shampoo bottles.
YOUR KIDDING RIGHT... WOW I THOUGHT ONLY THE KIDS ASKED SUCH SILLY QUESTIONS... SURE WASH THE BOTTLES OUT WITH WATER AND BLEACH AND THEN LEAVE THEM OUT ON THE FRONT PORCH FOR ALL THE NEIGHBORS TO SEE
    Water !

Your plants will not suffer if traces of chemicals remain after a thorough washing.
Just rinse them out good til all soap is gone

  • Ever had a Shampoo/ Conditioner Bottle Fall on Your Foot in the Shower?

Is it just my family and I or are we the only ones that constantly have our toes beat-up in the shower by the shampoo, conditioner and body soap bottles???Ever had a Shampoo/ Conditioner Bottle Fall on Your Foot in the Shower?
Hurts like heck, doesn't it? We finally got shelves added to ours for all the goodies, doesn't happen anymore.Ever had a Shampoo/ Conditioner Bottle Fall on Your Foot in the Shower?
I hate that! As a hair-product junkie, there's always too many bottles in my shower. But even worse are those metal shaving cream cans. Ugh!
The worst to fall on your foot is the hard tin can of shave gel, hurts like a bugger! Don't worry your family is not weird!
Ha. Ha. Just last night I knocked a can of shaving cream onto the top of my foot and I have a huge bruise and it hurts pretty bad today. So, no, your not the only ones.
    it's just your family
Yeah it hurts like heck. I have done it many times.
Yeah, almost lost a toenail, too. So?
Yes, my G/F has 40 million different bottles all up in the shower thay are always falling on my feet. Whats with all that junk? Who needs 5 different shampoos any way?
    That is SO annoying
    It's a toe....move on!
get a bigger shower or a better shower caddy because those bottles sure hurt
dont know about that but it's certainly u who is putting this question in this category.
Last time, I tried to catch the bottle,,,,,

Hit my head on the tiles and still got my little toe beat-up.
lol...that is so funny..even though we have a pretty decent size bath, crap stills falls down. I think that's why I do not have so much stuff in the shower like i use to it was the adults in the house who was getting hurt constantly the kids luckily did not...
lol, yes! I mean, that happens to me, too. Plus, I tend to stub my toes on the shower drain as well sometimes, or bash my elbows into the walls, or hit my head on the shower head. I tend to be a bit of a klutz in the shower - all part of waking up too early for a non-morning person.
    hurts like a s.o.b!
i was laying in the bathtub one day sore as hell trying to relax and i leaned back real fast and hit my head on the wall and a can of shaving cream fell and cracked me right on the damn head... i will never forget that.. i would rather be hit in the toe by a plastic bottle any day
    not the shampoo bottles....

    but the SOAP BARS!

they hurt like a b* and then some of it gets in your toe nail.......
Maybe you need to renovate the bathroom.
i really think its the shampoo, conditioner, and soap pact to make up miserable any way they can... soap in eyes... bottles bludgoning feet... they have a vendetta against us because we use them.. then throw them away... ha ha.. they go to a secret training class on how to slip off shelves and stuff and make it look like an accident.. i swear.. lol..

Are you allowed to take big bottles of shampoo and stuff when flying?

My mom said something about she seen on the news where you can't take big bottles of shampoo and stuff. I remember though that when I went to Miami that I had a pretty big bottle then. Not as big as what I have now though. Which if anything I will just go buy the smaller bottle I had the last time if I have too.

Can anyone help me out with this please?!!?

I need to know before Monday if possible! Are you allowed to take big bottles of shampoo and stuff when flying?
In your CARRY-ON bag you may only carry 3 ounce size bottles of liquid and these must be in a one quart size zip lock bag. In your checked luggage you may carry larger bottlew...but WHY would you fill up your suitcase with huge bottles of shampoo that will last for months? Just take the small bottles, buy some when you get there if you need it. See site below to read the regulations. Are you allowed to take big bottles of shampoo and stuff when flying?
You can take a big bottle of shampoo, etc., if you pack it in your check-in luggage. You are NOT permitted to have these in your carry-on luggage.
No. 1: anywhere they get more and more strict with liquids for security for good reasons.

No. 2: WHY, sorry taking shampoo's etc. with you - extra weight and they can be bought on the spot...
you best ask the airline your flying on that stuff changes a lot
if you pack it in your checked luggage you can take it

if you want to take it in your carry on you can only have 3 oz bottle

all liquids and gels must only be 3 oz each and all must fit in one quart Ziplock bag in total
nope has to be thrown away at the airport
I went on the website for the airlines I am flying next month and they give you the guidelines for packing. There is a lot of information as well as rules and definitions. After reading through it I've decided to pack only my toothbrush and SMALL travel size toothpaste (they will seize anything bigger) and purchase what I need once I get to my destination. It makes life much easier than having them rifle through my bags searching for that one thing that isn't exactly 3 oz!

Have you tried that new Pantene shampoo in a pick bottle, for long hair?

Does it work well?Have you tried that new Pantene shampoo in a pick bottle, for long hair?
i havent but i have always been told by friends and my hairdresser never to use pantene as its bad for your hair, the only reason your hair is left really shiney is because it coats your hair with a greese, try something else if you canHave you tried that new Pantene shampoo in a pick bottle, for long hair?
hm, Pantene shampoo always makes my hair look dirty and I get scalls from it.

--Why do shampoo bottles open at top, conditioner at bottom?

It seems like all the shampoo and conditioner bottles go with this trend, and I'm curious as to why.--Why do shampoo bottles open at top, conditioner at bottom?
weird, question because mine all open at the top, never had one yet that openned on the bottom.--Why do shampoo bottles open at top, conditioner at bottom?
i agreee. ha, idk the answerrrr, but good observationn!!!
My opinion on this has always been that they do it that way so when you're feeling for the bottles and you have soap in your eyes and can't open them, you can still tell which one to use! :D I don't know, but that's my theory.
I think it's because we use more conditioner than shampoo and it's harder to get out of the bottle so its at the bottom to let it all settle at the bottom
Ha! Good question. Even though I don't know the answer to your question, I gave you a star!

    Dove, blue bottle shampoo?????????????????????

ok my friend is a little tubby ok?

and i love her hair its so shiny and soft, so i asked her what shampoo she uses and she says the blue dove shampoo.

she has a really bad diet too, so would that be the shampoo that would make her hair shiny and soft?

any help/opinons would be appreciated. Thankyou!Dove, blue bottle shampoo?????????????????????
ok diet does have a lot to do with the health of your hair ok.

but if you use the right type of shampoo and conditioner for your hair type you can get the same results.

  • Has anyone tried Sunsilk's Thick and Strong Shampoo(magenta colored bottle)? Does it help with hair fallout?

I'm not going bald or anything, it's just that I noticed that I'm ';shedding'; more hair than usual and think that maybe if I use a new shampoo it might fix the problem. I'm not sure if the ';shedding'; is due to hair breakage(my hair is not as healthy as I would like) or my new low calorie diet.Has anyone tried Sunsilk's Thick and Strong Shampoo(magenta colored bottle)? Does it help with hair fallout?
You are supposed to lose about 100 strands of hair a day. If you keep your hair up and then shower, you may be seeing a lot shedding then because it hasn't had the chance while up. For healthy hair, try a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner (I like Patene Ice or Dove) and a deep conditioner 2-3 times a week. Also, don't wash your hair everyday, do it every other so you don't dry your hair out. Get in for a trim every few months and get a cut that makes it so you don't have to abuse your hair with over styling. I don't know about the low cal diet, but I do know that you need good nutrition for healthy hair. They make vitamins specifically for healthy hair and nails so try that. Hope I helped.

How many different bottles of shampoo do you have in the shower?

And what is your favorite and what do you use the most of?How many different bottles of shampoo do you have in the shower?
this is crazy but i have 11 bottles of shampoo and an ungodly amount of conditioners.. lol

my favorite would probably have to be my shimmer lights. i can't use it every day because it's a toner shampoo for blondes but it keeps my hair from getting a yellowish tint to it.

other than that one it's a tie between my tea tree clarifying shampoo and my schwarzkopf. How many different bottles of shampoo do you have in the shower?
3, pantene brunette shampoo, christophe beverly hills volumizing and herbal essences long term relationship. and my use varies on what i'm doing that day or how long it's been since i washed my hair or what i have in my hair. but my favorite is pantene brunette expressions
i have Dove therapy ,l'Oreal';El vive';,Keristase and finally CHI for infrared far and that's the one i luv most it really clear the hair gently and respect the PH balance of hair with a smart fragrance and it doesn't contain sodium which is bad for hair.
I have 4 or 5 I like them all and switch between them depending on what my hair needs I have some for colored hair some for dry and some for super cleaning and I also have matching conditioners.
I have 2, but there both 2 in one shampoo and conditioner so if you think about it i really have 4 bottles! lol. umm my fav well i don't know the name but its really nice and makes my hair shiny!
i have about 6 or 7 bottles of shampoo i switch off.

John Freida's my favorite. Imma brunette so i use the brilliant brunette line.
i have dove intense therapy loooove it, and head and shoulders

i use dove every time i wash my hair every 2 days and head and shoulders about once every two weeks
I only use 2 different shampoos.... Dove and mane and tail. The dove makes my hair soft and the mane and tell helps it to grow.
I have 3...I love patene Pro V the best on my natural hair, but since I have extensions in right now I've found that Suave works best with that.
2 johnsons baby lol and herbal essences donno which one but i like it the best it smells sooo good
like 3... and i love herbal ess..
    i only have 4 why?
I have four different kinds. My favorite is axe.
i have 5 but i only really use 2 of them.

%26amp; my fave has to be RPR brighten my blonde

If I have a 4 oz bottle of shampoo that is half full - that's 2 oz in my carry-on yes?

No it has to be in the right size container.. thats all that really mattersIf I have a 4 oz bottle of shampoo that is half full - that's 2 oz in my carry-on yes?
the TSA website specificaaly says NO! You cannot use the shampoo WHILE you are flying anyway...so you do nto even need to carry any in your carry-on bag. If for some reason , you want shampoo in your xarry -on bag...it must be in a bottle that cannot hold more than 3 oz. of fluid. If I have a 4 oz bottle of shampoo that is half full - that's 2 oz in my carry-on yes?
    technically yes
It may be easyer to get a travel size at you destination and save the hassle
Technically, the bottle has to say 2 oz. but if you really wanted to, you could could argue that it is in fact 2 oz.

As long as it is less than 3 oz. then you should be alright, I'm not making ant guarantees, the still might confiscate it. Also you should make sure that you have the shampoo and any other liquid cosmetics in a plastic sand which bag or freezer bag, reason being that the altitude of the aircraft will cause a change in pressure in bottles and cause them to rupture.

    Have a good flight.
Just go out and buy the proper 3 oz bottles! Argueing technicalities will only hold up the line! And who needs that?

Ever had a Shampoo/ Conditioner Bottle Fall on Your Foot in the Shower?

Is it just my family and I or are we the only ones that constantly have our toes beat-up in the shower by the shampoo, conditioner and body soap bottles???Ever had a Shampoo/ Conditioner Bottle Fall on Your Foot in the Shower?
Oh Yeaaa, Ive had it happen, but it usually hits the bone on the top of my foot. Hurts sooo bad! I mean, I feel that for a couple days.

What's the major difference between a bottle of .99 Suave shampoo and a several dollar bottle of Pantene?

if u have good hair it doesnt really matter what u useWhat's the major difference between a bottle of .99 Suave shampoo and a several dollar bottle of Pantene?
I discovered Suave Professionals a couple of years ago, and haven't tried anything since. I use the ';humectant'; which is supposed to be like ';Humectress';. The conditioner is perfect for my hair, no tangles, no frizzies, and oh so smooth. The shampoo hasn't left a build up at all either. The cost is in my price range too...usually around 1.50-2.00 a bottle. It doesn't take much and lasts. I will never buy Pantene or any of the other expensive brands unless they quit making mine. PS it has an awesome coconut smell that lasts forever...always getting compliments on how nice I smell...just because of my hair!!

Good luck! ;)What's the major difference between a bottle of .99 Suave shampoo and a several dollar bottle of Pantene?
Don't know i just use the bar of soap in the shower.
my mom says when she uses suave more white hairs grow. When I use suave my hair becomes more dry+raspy.
sauve is alot more drying to the hair. its true, ask any hair stylist. personally i like that sauve has so many different smelling products, they all smell really good. however, i dont feel that sauve conditions my hair at all. pantene is basically the only conditioner ive tried, and ive tried ALOT, that really makes my hair soft. even more expensive brands like biosilk and redkin dont work as well. so thats my opinion.
I think Suave is more like soap. It cleans your hair but it does it too well, strips it of its natural oils and doesn't provide any nutrients or hydration. I am a swimmer with very long hair and my hair was getting so damaged from the pool. Somehow my stylist convinced me to buy this 30 dollar bottle of shampoo that would rehydrate and repair my poor hair. As soon as I got home I just wanted to return it but I used it and it is so worth the money. My hair is so much healthier, softer and shinier. Also it is super concentrated and I only have to use a few drops. I have the same bottle (only a10 oz bottle!) that I bought in September and it will probably last me until at least this September. $30 a bottle sounds bad but $30 a year doesn't sound that bad. If I had shorter hair I would use something less expensive because it wouldn't need as much nourishment and could replenish its own natural oils more quickly.

Did you ever read the words on shampoo bottles?

    ;)

    Thanks.

.Did you ever read the words on shampoo bottles?
of course! while i'm lathering and rinsing off, my shower shelf is eye level so what else am i going to but read the back of the bottle, it's right there in front of me! some of them have some fun riddles even ;)Did you ever read the words on shampoo bottles?
Sometimes I do cause I wanna pick something with an ';invigorating'; experience. Or i want the ';fresh smell of raspberries'; to take me away!! Haha I do I'm sure that's why they put them on there. I also read the ingredients. It's amazing how much jank s*** is in shampoo! (and food and everything else...)
When I was little and just had learned how to read I startet to read the instructions in all available languages but mine and tried to find out which word would mean which in my language - still love the tags on shampoo bottles. Reminds me of that time ^^
alone, sitting on the bathroom floor, water pouring on me from the shower...nothing to do, but read labels on the products, shampoo one of them
Yeah I did. When do I stop. The 5th bottle of shampoo is almost empty and I still don't know when I'll be done.

    Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

my friend said it was good but she could not rember the name or do u have a websiteDog shampoo its in a bright hot pink bottle do u know what its called and where can I get it?
Actually, there are several brands of dog shampoo that comes in a hot pink bootle, or the content is hot pink. So no, I don't think people can help you there.

The best thing for you to do is to talk to your veternarian about the best shampoo for your breed of dog. Don't worry, even if you are budget, your vet can recommend you something that can be easily found in local grocery stores.

How long does it take you to finish a bottle of shampoo?

    it depends on:

    1) size of shampoo bottle

    2) how often you wash your hair

    3) how much you use

for me i finish one 2-3 weeks. How long does it take you to finish a bottle of shampoo?
To be honest, probely about 3 or 4 weeks, i wash my hair everyday and with alot of shampoo and conditioner. To get professinal results use quite a bit of shampoo, massage it into your scalp and all around your head until its all foamy. Wash it. Uase alot of conditioner, do the same, but conditioner dose'nt got foamy, and leave it for 2-3 mins and wash it out. Wait for it to dry and it is wonderful! I use Tres Semme. How long does it take you to finish a bottle of shampoo?

Can diseases or germs live in a bottle of shampoo? or on Soap?

not in shampoo they can't but on soap yes they can

kathyCan diseases or germs live in a bottle of shampoo? or on Soap?
Germs can live anywhere, if the conditions are right. Can diseases or germs live in a bottle of shampoo? or on Soap?
there are a very small number of pathogens that can survive those conditions.

they are not common and should not be a problem unless you bring them into your home in your own body.
I know they can live on soap. This is one of the reasons why we see so many public restrooms that use pump soap instead of bars of soap.
It can live in any where.
    yes
Every microbe has its abilities to over come environmental conditions. Some of them Named Psodomonas can live on soaps and even in air condioners. But the infection with any micobe depends on many things ,one of them is one's own immunity. So not eveyone will be ill when infected.

I need to know how to get baby shampoo out of my couch my nephew poured the whole bottle on the couch.?

If you have the slip cover type just take off the

cover and put in the washer under gentle cycle.

If not use a upholstery shampooer. You'll need

to work on this for a while. Just use water.I need to know how to get baby shampoo out of my couch my nephew poured the whole bottle on the couch.?
i wood use a carpet cleanimg machine but make sure to put fabric softner in the dirty water tank just a little so the tank wont fill with suds every 5 minutsI need to know how to get baby shampoo out of my couch my nephew poured the whole bottle on the couch.?
First, borrow a shop vac and get out as much as you can with that. Then sprinkle it with (dry) corn starch, let it set a while, then use the shop vac again. (Dry corn starch absorbs liquid. I just took spilled coke out of a light colored couch with corn starch.) Repeat the corn starch as often as needed to get it all out. Then, perhaps you could use a Bissell or other furniture vac, but if you don't get as much shampoo out as you can at first, you will be inundated with suds.

When you are finished, be certain to thoroughly clean the shop vac or the next user could have a mess, especially if s/he is vacuuming up a liquid.

    Hope this helps you. Joyce
I'd load it into the bed of my truck and drive through the auto-wash until it came out or I got bored, which ever happened first
You may NEVER get it all out even with steam cleaning. I would expel the nephew from my home. He sounds like a brat!
    Eeeeee!! throttle!!! throttle!!!

Looks like it's the time to call a carpet/furniture cleaner, or if you know any one with one of those Little Bissell spot/furniture Machine. They work great!

I was given an old recliner once that I guess was an old mans chair, and the spot where he put his head was like covered in oil, black and greasy,Uk.......I borrowed my friends little Bissell and it worked great!!

Good Luck!! PS ... if you can't find a Bissell, try renting a carpet cleaner from your grocery store!!!
Depending on how the couch is made and where the rotter spilled the shampoo, you might just be able to get a new cushion and wash the cover. That would save you a lot of bother. Then send the bill to the precious little nipper's parents.
Go to the home depot (or that type) and rent a steam cleaner with upholstery attachment. It's going to take quite a few water changes to get that out.

Right, Toni and Guy recently did a redesign of their hair styling products range. The packaging is now in tall bottles rather than in the bags like it used to be. However I cannot for the life of me get the bottle pump to work on either my shampoo or conditioner, have I just got two bad pumps or is there some kind of trick to get them to start working? How do you use the new Toni and Guy shampoo/conditioner bottles?

.is it ok to add some multivitamins tablets in ur shampoo bottle?

if yes than how can i do this if it really works in order to get hair some nutrition.is it ok to add some multivitamins tablets in ur shampoo bottle?
Sure do it but it will do nothing for your hair and make your shampoo smell.

Hair is dead like fingernails and it won't absorb the vitamins.

Why not take them and let your body grow better hair?.is it ok to add some multivitamins tablets in ur shampoo bottle?
I've never heard of doing that. They do have special vitamin capsels designed for hair, I think you just break them open on your hair.
i think it doesnt work dont ever try it
it doesn't work! you have to take vitamins internally for it to help at all...try biotin!
No, this won't work...the vitamins will sit on your hair for a second and then go down the drain. You'd be better off swallowing the tablets!

  • Could you put alcohol in shampoo bottles and put it in your checked luggage?

if so would they find it?Could you put alcohol in shampoo bottles and put it in your checked luggage?
You don't have to go through that, you can just wrap them in bubble wrap, then wrap them good in your clothes so they do not break and you will be fine to travel with them like that. I bring home wines from all over the world in my suitcase and in my carry on. They sell alcohol in the airport so they know that you may have it.Could you put alcohol in shampoo bottles and put it in your checked luggage?
Don't put them in shampoo bottles. They might think you are trying to sneak a bomb onto the plane. Before you take it anywhere make sure it is ok to bring that specific type of alcohol to where ever you are going. If it is banned in the area or you cannot bring that type into the country (silly customs rules) then make sure you don't before hand.
If you're trying to avoid paying duty, it's called smuggling. You might get caught, or not, but if you do bad things happen.

You'll be in the customs computer and even if you don't do time, you'll go to secondary inspection every time you fly into the country.

You might be charged with an offense and fined.
Perhaps. Shampoo bottles allowed are 3.3 oz. Is it worth 15-20 in prison to save a few bucks on buying an overpriced airline drink?
You can put alcohol in alcohol bottles in your checked luggage. Just be sure they are well packed and don't get broken.
you can take alcohol in planes, its not illegal as long as it is in the checked luggage
I think what we have here, is a minor wanting to illegally take booze on their trip with them.

    Good luck with that.

Can i check a bottle of liquor / shampoo onto a plane?

in my check-in bag?Can i check a bottle of liquor / shampoo onto a plane?
It is perfectly OK to have bottles of Liquor in the baggage that is being carried inside the hold (checked Baggage).

The restrictions on liquids, are on what you carry through the search area in your hand luggage.

Once you go through the search area and are in the departure area, where the airport duty free shops are, you can buy your bottles of liquor and take them onto the plane. Can i check a bottle of liquor / shampoo onto a plane?
The maximum that you are allowed in your hand baggage is 100ml of liquids, gels, pastes, which includes jams etc. this does not mean that you can put 100mls into a litre bottle, it means 100mls in a 100ml bottle. Any deviation will be confiscated.

Whatever you buy in the departure lounge (after security) you can take on the plane. There are restrictions on what you can buy in relation to your destination; ie within EU or outwith.
Yea, but I think it has to be about 3 ounces or less. But you can bring as many as you want, well not a whole carry-on full, but you know what I mean. I had 5 3 onuce bottles of toothpaste, shampoo, lotion, handsnitizer, etc. and they let me. Except for my one bottle of lotion, that was too big. And you're supposed to have it in a clear ziploc baggie, ready to put on the x-ray machine, so they can see evreything. After that then you can take it on the plane.
Yes, you can check it in but you cannot bring any bottles larger than 3 oz in your carry on.

And to clarify for the other people who don't know what they're talking about...checked in luggage is the luggage which you check in at the counter - you do not have access to this on the plane and must retrieve it at baggage claim after you reach your destination. Carry on's are the small suitcases or bags you bring with you...you can usually only have two of these, and all liquids must be in 3 oz bottles or smaller, and must fit in a quart size, see through plastic baggie.
you can send it but not as a carry on and with the shampoo if it is 3oz. or less then if u put it in a plastic baggie then u can bring it on the plane
Liquids 3 oz containers. Go to site below for more info.
THAT WOULD BE A NO !!!

Yes you can, oonly if you buy them from the duty free, or airport shops in the airport. Otherwise, you can't.
no it has to be in a plastic bag in your suitcase if its in yer carry on bag then it has to be less then 12 ozs. or they will take it.
No You Can't Because You Are Not Allowed To Bring Any Drinks or Liquids onto a Plane
only in the bag ur not taking with u(not the handbag) yes in the chek-in bag
depending on how big the bottle is
if you check your bag yes. but if you want to bring it on the plane itself then no.

OK in your checked in luggage
You can take acohol on a plane no matter what bottles its in

Why is it, that shampoo bottles have the lids at the top?

And the conditioners have the lids on the base of the bottles? Why is it, that shampoo bottles have the lids at the top?
Well its a good job they do, maybe its as people have said conditioner is thicker.. but maybe also its so you can tell them apart.

My dad cant see the writing on shampoo bottles and has got conditioner instead loads of times.. maybe its so people like him can tell the difference lolWhy is it, that shampoo bottles have the lids at the top?
Conditioner is thicker, so it's easier to get out if the lids on the bottom.

If the lids were both on the same end, you would get them mixed up very easily, so this way, you can easily distinguish between the two.
ok people i honestly doubt it has to do with the thickness or anything!...you flip the bottle over newazes to get shampoo out so it has nothing to do with that!....i agree and think it is to know the diffrence between shampoo and conditioner...
THE SHAMPOO IS THINNER THAN THE CONDITIONER..ONE POURS EASIER THAN THE OTHER..
its easier to get shampoo out, the conditioner seems to need help so they put it so the lid is on the bottom and comes out easier/faster =)
To distiguish the difference when using them for in the shower or when then stylist are washing your hair and they don't have time to read if it is a conditioner or shampoo.
not something i've ever thought about before, i'm sure theres a reason though
A squeeze bottle for dispensing viscous liquids of the type having a conventional opening and associated flip lid at the top thereof is provided with a second opening and associated flip lid positioned adjacent the bottom of the squeeze bottle so that the contents remaining when the bottle is nearly empty may be easily dispensed therefrom. Alternatively, the conventional top opening and flip lid may be eliminated and a single opening provided adjacent the bottom of the squeeze bottle. In another embodiment, a squeeze bottle is symmetrically configured to have flip lids of sufficient surface area at each end thereof to permit storage of the squeeze bottle on either end so that the contents may be easily dispensed from the flip lid on which the squeeze bottle rests during storage.

to make a lond story short condioner is thicker than shampoo and it is harder for it to get to the lid if it were the other way around
It's so you don't confuse them when you're using them in the shower.
Because conditioner is thicker...and it would take you ages to get the last drop out of the bottle if they were the other way up!
Cause shampoo is not as thick as conditionder and it also differentiates between the 2 bottles.
When conditioner bottles are right side up it makes it harder to get the conditioner out.
Because conditioner is thicker and harder to get out of the bottle, therefore it is easier when the lid is at the bottom.
I haven't a clue, but had never thought about that before.. interesting question!
coz conditioner is thicker so it comes out the bottle easier if it at the bottom i think xxx

usually it's because the shampoo is colored, and the conditioner isn't and they want them to match.

the conditioner can breakdown in sunlight. while it's rare that the bottle will actually be in sunlight, it's done as a preventive measure.

Tell her because if she ever finds out she will kill you or castrate you. (castrate is worse)
Now you know why your mother always said don't pee in the shower lol. And I think you should just replace the shampoo, hide the old one, throw it away, do not let her wash her hair with your pee. I'm sure she loves you but not that much lol
that is just gross, why would you even go in the shower.
Whatever you do....DONT tell her what you did. Buy her some more by saying that you were showering and it fell and most of it squirted out. That might save you. Throw that damn thing away and don't piss in the shower.
oo that is sick man you batter tell her it good to be honsty
DON'T WORRY IT GOOD FOR DANDRUFF.
    HA HA HA HA HA

Dont tell her and go and buy another bottle of shampoo
why the heck would u pee in tha shower? u should definitely buy her a new one because u don't want her hair to smell like pee. Just buy the same exact one she had and don't let her know what happened.
just buy a new one that's all
This made me laugh you nasty nasty nasty boy. I think some pple believe urine is good for u, drinking is cleansing etc, n for some its a fetish, but I though only your own urine was good for you? Isn't it supposed to be sterile if you are healthy?

Treating this logically it NEVER Happened.

    a) Don'tcha have a loo (WC) you can use? is that why u were peeing in the shower?

    b) If the shower was on, it would have to be a big open top bottle for you to pee into it or is your aim that good and that deliberate plus water could then water would get in it.

OR was it lying on its side and you were aiming? in which case there would not have been any shampoo left cos it would have run out - gravity u know.

I'm only praying yr girlfriend reads this and blows snot in you sandwiches - that ain't sterile.

    Thx for the points
    Buy har a new bottle.
shake it and leave dude.....this is one of the situations where the truth will set you free........free as in single and free.....lol
I think you just let the bottle sit for a few minutes and the yellow stuff will seperate with the craaap people put in their white people hair.

Once this time has elapsed, flip the bottle over quickly and the yellow stuff will flow out freely leaving only the hair goop your girlfriend hides her natural smell with.
Be the consumate Pig and don't tell her. Have a good laugh at her expense too.

Might as well join the club and be like the rest of society who is like you.
take it and use it yourself....
    eeewwww

tell her....it'd be rude not to..
tell her that youll buy her some more that is better or somethin like that........
I would buy her new shampoo. Gross!
    hahah buy soem new shampoo
Just buy another bottle.. Leave it open, and let it run out like it was an accident.. but poor it out please. If not, you will be thinking about it everytime you see her.
This is hilarious!!! Could you please tell her?
    ooh, urine trouble
    ahahahahah that is so funny

    you better tell her
why were you peeing so close to the wall?
    u pee in the showre

How do I remove bubbles from use shampoo/detergent bottles?

Sometimes I would like to recycle the old shampoo or detergent plastic bottles but to remove the bubbles is a lot of work. I have to run a lot of running water to 'drain' out the bubbles.

I think it is not a good idea because it will waste... WATER.

Do you have a way to remove the bubbles from old bottles? How do I remove bubbles from use shampoo/detergent bottles?
Leave the cap off the bottle, then tip it upside down so it will empty, and let it drain for a few hours. This should get rid of most of the contents so that it will be quicker to flush with water. How do I remove bubbles from use shampoo/detergent bottles?
When you get towards the end of your shampoo or detergent, start watering down the bottle then and you can still use the product. This makes it easier to clean.
I would fill the bottles with water and add a teaspoon full of soda. Let it sit for 24 hours and fill it back up and see if it bubbles. Try it.
I use soda. It is effective.
Let it dry, and then use a hair dryer.

I used to do it, for making mentos and Cola rockets, but my stupid older sister keeps throwing them in the trash.
    rinse w/white vinegar
  • makeup powder
  • Do you shake your shampoo bottle?

My boyfriend told me last night that he shakes the shampoo bottle before he uses it ...... I then burst out laughing and said he is probably the only person in the world who does that...... then he said I bet I'm not....... so I thought I'd jump on here and find out.Do you shake your shampoo bottle?
nope sure don't your boyfriend is a tard lol just joking. but no i don't shake my shampoo bottleDo you shake your shampoo bottle?
Not sticking up for your bf, but if it's a medicated shampoo (like for dandruff or other scalp problem), some of those are supposed to be shaken. I don't know of any regular shampoos that need shaking.

    .

EDIT....Regular 'ole everyday shampoo?...In that case, I for sure can't stand up for him! lol It's really no big deal though, but if he tells you he also shakes his toothpaste, um mm!

    .
I would have laughed if I were you too. haha. I only shake it when there is a little bit left. Im kinda lazy and shampoo bottles are kinda heavy(the ones I use) so I would never do that.
i only do if its close to the end of the bottle so i can get the shampoo to the top.
    nope,i never do(except when it's almost empty,then i just shake it upsidedown a little)
no, unless u have to shake it to get the last of it out of the bottle.
Nope, I don't.....I shake it a little upside down when there's barely any left.....but not every time no.
    Not I.
