Shampoo from the 70's in a purple (plastic) bottle can u guess?

Gee Your Hair Smells TerrificShampoo from the 70's in a purple (plastic) bottle can u guess?
I absolutely LOVED that shampoo... it smelled so good.

I wish they still made it!Shampoo from the 70's in a purple (plastic) bottle can u guess?
hi
Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific!

I took some to 4-H camp with me.
70s? Wasn't Pert in purple back then? Of was it Grape Ape shampoo? I was not exactly a hair care expert back in the day, as it were.

Is it possible for chemicals to absorb through closed plastic shampoo or perfume bottles?

yes if it were glass it would be more questionable but most likely yes if either for example were set in bleach trace amounts would seep in be careful

Husband waters down my shampoo bottles... what is wrong with him and how do I retaliate?

I've been noticing my shampoo has been diluted lately, as if someone is putting water in it. No - I don't buy from the really cheap discount stores that do that to their products.

The shampoo I buy is only a couple dollars a bottle, not $30 like some high-maintenance women.

I called my husband out on it, and he admitted to watering down my shampoo with the intent of saving money!

He also thinks I use too much toothpaste and complains about how fast we go through it.

What do I do?

We have average income, average spending limits, no financial troubles.Husband waters down my shampoo bottles... what is wrong with him and how do I retaliate?
I dont know what you can do but that is sick....how is it even helping to save money if it's watered down? It just won't stay in your hair then. You have to explain to him that he can either save about 25 cents or have a wife with ugly hairHusband waters down my shampoo bottles... what is wrong with him and how do I retaliate?
Well, you could: Begin watering down his beer; watering down HIS shampoo; not stocking some of his preferences, (all in the interests of saving money, of course) Suggesting that HE economize on his stuff, and leave your stuff alone; (Why didn't he just SAY something, instead of being sneaky about it?) Offer to: stop brushing your teeth (not much fun necking with you then :)); stop shampooing your hair altogether, (want to nuzzle, sweetie?) Suggest he develop a slightly more mature way of addressing his concerns and you'd be more receptive to his point of view... I'm pretty sure you know better than I do how to deal with him. Um, could you keep us posted on the developments? This is fun. I really want to know what happens next! Go get 'em.Also, looking at your avatar here, and as one female to another, I know what I'm looking at -wow- Is he Nuts?? Why would he want you to be less??? Cuz tampering with grooming products will not lead to a better you....-Have you noticed that Nair is the front-runner in suggestions? Verrry tricky folk here...}:%26gt;
my father used to be like that...he probity has always been like that with other things. there are people in the world that for them they rather save money like that than spend it. just tell him to leave your stuff alone
actually by watering down shampoo will cost more money in the long run...because u will have to use twice as much to get a good lather. i know case I've tried rinsing out what little bit is left in a bottle with water and it doesn't later very well when u do.
Find something that he likes and do the same, the first thing that comes to mind is if he drinks water down his liqor and tell him that you want to conserve it and see how he likes a taste of his own medicine.
Replace his beer with Bud Light. (ewwwwwww)
You might want to consider some kind of counseling. If he wasn't like this at first, you need to determine what has caused this change in his behavior. It could be something very simple, or you could really have a problem on your hands. Sudden changes in financial attitudes generally indicate that something else is going on somewhere.
it sounds like he has a fear of being poor

a good thing to do would be to if he used bar soap you could run it under water for a long time and then he will have a small cake of soap to wash with
retaliation is definately in order.

- next time you cook, give him only 1/2 of what he would normally eat - save $ on the groceries

- wash his dirty clothes in the sink and hang them over the towel rack to dry - save $ on the laundry

- turn off the lights when he is reading or turn off the tv when he is watching it - save $ on electric
put nair in his
substitute preparation h for his toothpaste.
you should tell him that the main ingredient in low end shampoo's is WATER.............he is pretty much just turning your shampoo into water and no poo! Ask him if he prefer's you smelling pretty or if he thinks greasy hair smells better?? You could retaliate by watering down his pepsi or beer or coffee??? maybe he will stop it then.
Put viscous lidocane in his jergins he will think he broke something when it goes numb any nurse should be able to get some for you
I think you need to seriously think about changing husbands. I didn't realize toothpaste and shampoo were life's little pleasures.
Put Nair in his shampoo bottle - that'll save him money in the future.
poor him a nice cold beer after you water it down
Buy your own, label it, and tell him you love him too much to argue about some trivial bull crap. I think the 10 dollars is much cheaper that the grief and discord if you retaliate.
Stop using shampoo and toothpaste for a week. That ought to show him. While at it, go the whole nine yards and save on soap too. You might also consider hiding the toilet paper to ';save'; some more.
Hide your shampoo and anything else he is tampering with. Not to say anything bad about your husband but is he under some sort of stress? He may be doing these things as a way to deal with it.
That's just wrong. Try feeding him cheap food and see how he likes it. Or if that won't work think of something he holds near and dear and sabotage it in the name of saving money. He'll get the point.
replace some of his with Nair that'll teach the sob
Start watering down his bottles of liquor - the prescious whiskey, bourbon or rum or vodka.
Tell him: Let me kiss you after I don't brush my teeth for a couple of days... Then you can also pay the dentist bill when my teeth rot.....As for the shampoo... Water down his beer and tell you you're saving him money..
';What's good for the goose,is good for the gander,...

Try watering down his gas and his beer!';

Has anyone noticed that a Nair bottle looks an awful lot like shampoo when its left in the shower?

Yeah, and I have the bold head to prove it.Has anyone noticed that a Nair bottle looks an awful lot like shampoo when its left in the shower?
Pierce your ear, grow a goatee and act like it was intentional. At the very least.....you don't have to worry about back hair for a month.

(Gotta look at the bright side ;) )Has anyone noticed that a Nair bottle looks an awful lot like shampoo when its left in the shower?
I hope you noticed before it was too late! You didn't have a horrible hair accident before it was too late did you?
It is my biggest fear ever. It's why I shave.
Yep! When I was younger and in a home one of the girls put nair in another girls shampoo and her hair fell out. Very mean. Keep the nair out of the shower.
no but I noticed Nair stings like hell if you try to do your bikini area with it.
haha! that's not a good thing...
I've always wondered if someone has ever made that horrific mistake....

I knew a lady that accidentally brushed her teeth using a tube of ';Brill Cream'; instead of the toothpaste sitting next to it. Not as bad a mistake, but still a nasty little morning surprise! :(
Wow, yeah, that's a scary thought.
Well no but then again I was thinking about getting a haircut. Family photos have been postponed. :(
this is a horrible thing to do but once i filled a shampoo bottle with nair! (i came home and found my then boyfriend with his ex, he had moved her in while i was away, before i got the f*** out of there i took a shower and i had to do it!
It may look similar, but the smell is so awful it can be determined to not to be shampoo.
No, I dont use Nair, that is sooo funny, thanks for the laugh

Why do shampoo bottles have instructions on them?

Do we actually need them? Why do shampoo bottles have instructions on them?
They are for the following types of people:

1. Extremely stupid people

2. People who get bored in the shower and decide that they want to read the back of the shampoo bottle. Why do shampoo bottles have instructions on them?
For ';idiots'; or ';anals';. Or for those programmed to do ';what they are told'; because they have no minds, or backbone of their own.
They do it so they are not legally responsible if some moron uses it in a manner other than described and dies or gets seriously injured doing it.
I've always wondered that, too. If a person doesn't know how to shampoo their hair, they probably can't read, either.
Believe it or not, if they put the directions on there, then somewhere, sometime or another, someone called the company and asked how to use it!
its required by law and also u wont believe it but some people acctually use it to get the best hair look/clean feeling
probably for some people who never used shampoo before or who has never used a certain kind of shampoo
yes we do-

did you know pharmaceutical companies had many complaints -because people were complaining that their suppositories had too much aluminum foil. (the didn't know that they had to peel off the foil.)

some people swallowed them....

yeah we live in a very bring environment.....
I think they are required to but no we don't need them.
Yes, have you ever paid attention to the way people drive. If they can't figure that out, then how in the world are they expected to wash their hair without instructions.
Unfortunately, If they didn't put the instructions on the bottles the morons might drink it and get sick then sue the shampoo maker.
Yes, each shampoo could have different lathering techniques. Or it could help for first timers.
hair washing for dummies
I would think that if someone doesn't know how to use shampoo, they they would not know how to read either. I guess it is to avoid lawsuits.
I think they are required by law to add instructions like that...

like even hair mousse and stuff has directions too...
I would expect it's legally mandated to cover the manufacturer. Someone would try to say, ';Well, it didn't say what to do with it, so I just assumed one is intended to drink it.';

Why is there a warning on aerosol household cleaner cans not to spray the product into your eyes? Chances are that if you're stupid enough to spray that stuff into your eyes, then you're too stupid to be able to read the warning.
For idiots
That's a good point.
cuz they think that were stupid and think we dont know how to put it on our head and lather and wash it off
To avoid lawsuit. The same reason product you should obviously NOT eat say Warning: Don't eat.
Just incase::::On your way to grab the shampoo something (or the shampoo itself) drops on your head and you suddenly have memory loss - THANK SCIENCE they wrote those instructions on the back. NOW you WILL know what to do with that bottle of shampoo.
because some people are stupid and the scents of soap can confuse these dumb people beacause they may think that ';raspberry sunkiss swirl'; is a flavor and try to eat instead of washing their head with it
what trippystemny said
I'm sure that some idiots have called the shampoo companies and asked for instructions.
the people that need the directions are too stupid to read them anyway. so no.
those instructions are for the best results.
Becuz some people don't know how to use shamPOO
Maybe not all people knows how to do it... :(
cause they think we are all dumb, and if it smells good enough, omg we might drink it.
That is one of those questions that actually makes sense. Shampoo bottles have 'instructions' on them because some people just NEED those instructions to be there ... and they'll 'read them' just to make sure they are 'shampooing' correctly. It's weird, but that's why ...
I don't know, but this question gets a star. Wish I could give two.

  • What were pre-plastics shampoo bottles made of?

GlassWhat were pre-plastics shampoo bottles made of?
Glass, it really sucked if you dropped your bottle of shampoo while in the shower. What were pre-plastics shampoo bottles made of?
Glass or it was bar soap.
yes before plastic it was only glass and tin
glass, which was really quite dangerous
The real earliest were made of wood or clay.
    Plastics were invented before shampoo.

    Gross, huh?
glass was a common contianer prior to the invention of plastic

Are shampoo bottles shaped that way on purpose?

I caught my lady using a shampoo bottle, perhaps I am not as manly as Pert Plus. Are shampoo bottles shaped that way on purpose?
WOAH, she can fit a pert plus bottle in there? That's like some circus **** right there. Are shampoo bottles shaped that way on purpose?
You just haven't got what it takes apparently..

Does your body wash and shampoo have to be travel-size in basic training or can you bring normal size bottles?

Also can you bring those little scrunchi poofy loofa things with you that you scrub your body with?.. or do they issue you the stuff that you are going to use?Does your body wash and shampoo have to be travel-size in basic training or can you bring normal size bottles?
No poofy loofa things in basic, also I'm pretty sure your 'body wash' is allowed to be a bar of soap.

As for shampoo, yes it must be travel-sized.

They will provide stuff for you if you need it but its coming out of your pay check. The big difference? Stuff on base is discounted as well as tax-free to military members. If in doubt ask your reqruting officerDoes your body wash and shampoo have to be travel-size in basic training or can you bring normal size bottles?
My son took the travel size because of packing space but once he got to basic they went to the PX and he got the larger size and about the loofa it was not on his packing list but I don`t think you will even have the time to use one, you will jump in the shower and get out of it quick. My son used to take long showers but when he came home for Christmas he was in and out of the shower so quick and he said that was because they had to be fast in basic and that he got used to it.
In Army BCT you won't be allowed to use a loofa...you'll be getting a wash cloth to use. We weren't allowed body wash either, just unscented bars of soap. Also no super good smelling shampoo. I recommend you DON'T buy it before you get there, wait till you go to the PX when you start Basic (meaning, don't buy it at reception either) because that just aids weight to the bag you'll be carrying over your head on day one. Just leech off of people till you can buy some.

    -PAC
i'm pretty sure you can buy then there at the PX. and no you can't bring those, you won't be able to use it. remember that this is basic training and there are about 50 or 60 other people in line for a shower so your showers will be quick; at most 3 minutes, it's just a quick rinse and wash.
you have to bring travel size with you anyway, because of the airline regulations. if you are allowed regular size bottles, you will be given the chance to purchase it once you get there. and about the loofa...no, sorry.
Army BCT right? Well I think the bottles are fine I used mine the whole time...but the loofa, they didn't let us use those, but it all depends.

I loved jacadi Shampoo when my daughter was little. Where can i find the larger size bottles?

Why do shampoo bottles pop open when you fly on vacation?

need helpWhy do shampoo bottles pop open when you fly on vacation?
Indeed air pressure changes is the reason

The simpliest thing to do is (for new bottles) just open them and squeeze a bit out so that there is some space for the liquid to expand and contract, then you won't have any problemWhy do shampoo bottles pop open when you fly on vacation?
It might be squashed by something in your bag!

(perhaps some cling wrap and an elastic band would help ^0^ abd possibly a half-used shampoo taken on an airplane).
If you don't fill them completely to the top and put them in a ziploc bag, you'll be fine. I've flown dozens of times and never had anything even leak.
preassure. The higher the altitude the tighter the air circuit kind of like the reason that a tornado can rip off your roof if there is no circulation
Pressure! Same reason's why your ears pop.
    air pressure.

Is recyclable plastic bottle with chemical residue worth the water to rinse it all out? (e.g. shampoo)?

I can add a picture of an example if needed. I am sure everything that is recycled must be clean. I sometimes think it is more envirionmentally friendly to just throw somethings away rather than waste a lot of water clearning them out! Professional answers are preferred. Is recyclable plastic bottle with chemical residue worth the water to rinse it all out? (e.g. shampoo)?
No, because water isn't really wasted. It goes back through filtering and is reintroduced. Otherwise it just gets dumped into rivers, lakes, or oceans, in which case it would pollute all of it just the same.

But no, i don't really think when they recycle things they're simply washing them out. They take huge amounts of recyclable things, undergo a couple of chemical processes, and then you have material from teh recyclable things. Is recyclable plastic bottle with chemical residue worth the water to rinse it all out? (e.g. shampoo)?
well many things that are recycled are probably cleaned by radiation and sure clean it with the water if you really need it

theres plenty of water right now lol
Yes it is but pay attention to remove all the labels from the start because that will increase the impurities from the recycled plastics. Usually the recycle companies have a good washing process before melting the scraps.

If you use a tap water finally will go to a waste water treatment plants and the chemical residues will be retained and/or deactivated.

  • What should i do with all the extra half used bottles of shampoo and soap in my bathroom?

I usually ask around and see who in my family wants it. I usually give my shampoos, etc. to my sister or brother - depending on what the products contain (because of allergies, etc.)

When my cousin visited me during spring break, she ended up taking all of these products that didnt work for me, but they worked for her. Just ask around, see if anyone else is interested.

Or, if there is a moneyback guarantee from that company, call them and ask them to get your money back. What should i do with all the extra half used bottles of shampoo and soap in my bathroom?
Gather them together and sell them as a 'used' lot on eBay. List them, girl! What should i do with all the extra half used bottles of shampoo and soap in my bathroom?
    Use it as laundry detergent.
use them up until they're gone
use them dont throw them away if there good ur just wasting ur money if u do
Shampoo - put a squeeze top on, and use as grease remover in laundry, to remove carpet stains, and for fine washables.

    Bar soap? Liquid soap?

Bar - melt down all pieces in a double boiler, and mix together. Mold as desired.

Liquid - OK for hand washables. Mix with water and a little glycerin to make excellent bubbles!

Do NOT try to donate them - most places won't take open containers for safety reasons.
    Use them
Use them! It is good to cylce shampoos, so don't use he same one every time you wash your hair.
Use them or put them in mini bottles for travel.
you can donate them to womens shelters.

Why is shampoo and conditioner sold in the same sized bottles?

when you typically wash your hair twice while only condition once? Why is shampoo and conditioner sold in the same sized bottles?
I guess you have your answer with the answers already posted-- some people use more shampoo than conditioner and some use more conditioner than shampoo. Personally, I use more conditioner. I agree with the other answers that most people don't wash, rinse, and repeat. That repeat thing is a marketing tactic to get you to use twice as much shampoo. Why is shampoo and conditioner sold in the same sized bottles?
why do you wash your hair twice? you really should only wash your hair 2-3 times a week-washing too much strips your hair of its natural oils...%26amp; I don't know about you, but I generally use more conditioner than shampoo...
I always wondered the same thing!! I will have to keep checking back and see if anyone can answer this question.
    not really
Most people only wash once, no need to do it twice. I also find that I use my conditioner faster than shampoo.
well alot of people dont do that, so then that way they will run out at the same time so its just convenunt
Maybe because even though you shampoo your hair twice, you use more conditioner than shampo.
Ok well for people with curly hair like me i use more condition becuase shampoo dries my hair out even more so i use tons of conditioner. In my opinion conditioner is way more important than shampoo!

Is it weird for a guy to use shampoo that comes out of a pink bottle?

no, but if you lift your pinkie well pouring shampoo out, now that's weirdIs it weird for a guy to use shampoo that comes out of a pink bottle?
of cours not! its just a color, it doesn't make your hair pink, dose it? it least u take a shower and wash your hair (not like most of my class members)Is it weird for a guy to use shampoo that comes out of a pink bottle?
no, you don;t have a choice of what color bottle it comes in

it is the companies problem :)

    ~Jessica
No, it's just shampoo, it's there to clean your hair!!
    not really, its only shampoo
Nope. It's just shampoo doesn't matter what color the bottle.
    it's only a colour not a lifestyle.......
    nah... it is funny =))

On shampoo , make up etc what does the symobol of an open lid with say 12 months, 36 months etc on the bottle?

what does it mean. Does it mean yse within this period once openOn shampoo , make up etc what does the symobol of an open lid with say 12 months, 36 months etc on the bottle?
Its a best before date and its the recommendation of the manufacturer of how long you should keep the product. But there's no concern about using it after this period as they are just general guidelines. But you should always replace sun lotion after 2 years as they loose their protection if stored too long.On shampoo , make up etc what does the symobol of an open lid with say 12 months, 36 months etc on the bottle?
it means once opened use within 12 months, 36 months, etc
once open use in that time
    thats when it expiress
    It's a use by date.
    you got it
It's sort of like a best before. How long you can keep it before it's manky and unhygienic.
    yup
Yes it does you're right, once open use within this time xx
the product is good for 12/36 months after you open it. after that it should be thrown away.
It means that from the time that you open the product you have to use it within whatever amount of months is specified
After youve opened the product, it is reccomended that you use within 6,12...etc. months, before it goes off.

How many empty shampoo bottles are currently in your shower? this includes?

conditioners, detanglers etc. are you male or female? do woman have more or do men have more empties, just waiting to be thrown out?How many empty shampoo bottles are currently in your shower? this includes?
about 5 and for some reason between the 2 showers there is probably 12 total between conditioners and shampoos that are open some empty a few with just like a bottom layer of liquid in them i dont know why the people in this house dont finish using them before opening another bottle,. i even go as far as adding alittle water at the end to make sure i get it all. shampoo especially pantene isnt cheap and it still works just as good watered down a bit. im female. i would say MEN ..theres more males in this house...women are waste not want nots... men are the same way with a bar of soap this teeny little thing remains that you possibly couldnt use on your body and actually get clean let alone wash your hands with it.. it kills some people to open up a new bar of soap i think! How many empty shampoo bottles are currently in your shower? this includes?
I think there are like 6 or 7 in my family's shower.
female. 0 empty bottles. 2 half empty bottles.

    None....I think
ummm.....probably about 20 or 30...no joke. Maybe I should go throw those out. Cuz everytime i take a shower it gets sooo annoying.
I think none for a change....I thought we were the only ones that did that!!!!

If I don't have another bottle handy I do.
Yes! Ha! I didn't know so many others do too!
    Yep how did u know?
    yes
yes, but that only happened like once, I have so many different shampoos it's not funny!
sometimes, but i live i a house with 4 people who each have there own shampoo so there is always something.
I always do that when I empty the bottle.
always. just to make sure i have used every drop of the shampoo in that bottle. so i can buy a new one or open a new one ^^
YEAH, is there any other way?!?!?!
    who doesnt?
I have, but I normally only fill it up a quarter or half way... then I go get more after that is almost gone...
    haha...yes...
yeah and i also recycle the empty bottle.
yes, good until the last drop
    lol, yeah.
lol....i do....i get at least a couple more days of shampoo. haha

this is a horrible thing to do but once i filled a shampoo bottle with nair!

Survey: Why do they Still put directions on my shampoo bottles?

    for stupid people

i bet there are still some people in the shower (because it says: wash, rinse, repeat)Survey: Why do they Still put directions on my shampoo bottles?
It's to ensure they stay in business in case one day, everyone wakes up and forgets how to wash their hair ;) hahaha!Survey: Why do they Still put directions on my shampoo bottles?
Because not everyone has common sense.
Because rinse and repeat gets your fur all smooth
because some people will try to wash their cars or their pets with shampoo
I agree..It's common sense how to use it!

Can spirits tamper with shampoo bottles, chemicals etc.. I've found these items mixed with possible water ?

some sort of liquid. Please tell me your thoughts on my case. Anyone!!!!Can spirits tamper with shampoo bottles, chemicals etc.. I've found these items mixed with possible water ?
Anything Is Possible, But Before Going Paranormal Try and Eliminate A Few Factors First.

When You Shower Do You Leave The Bottles Open?

If Yes, Then Some Water Can Fall Through The Small Openings.

Does Your Shampoo Say ';Shake Before Use';?

If Yes, Then When The Shampoo Sits For A While The Shampoo Base Settles Leaving The Watery Or Liquid Part Opened.

Has Your Shampoo's Been Sitting On The Shelf For A While?

If Yes, the Same As Above.

If Your Answers To The Above Is No, then I Recommend Leaving A Fresh Unopened Shampoo Bottle Where You Keep Them and Move All Others Outside The Bathroom. Wait and See What Happens and Let Me Know. Can spirits tamper with shampoo bottles, chemicals etc.. I've found these items mixed with possible water ?
Occam's Razor is sometimes paraphrased as ';All other things being equal, the simplest solution is the best.'; In other words, when multiple competing theories are equal in other respects, the principle recommends selecting the theory that introduces the fewest assumptions and postulates the fewest entities.

    It's totally ghosts.

Why is it they still put directions on shampoo bottles.?

If you do need directionsI think there may be a problem, and if you do you are way to young and you can't read. Why is it they still put directions on shampoo bottles.?
This is mainly as a liability issue. As long as there are products that are produced that could possibly be ingested to make people sick there will always be people who have their children, their dogs, their whatever, use products in a way that aren't intended to be used.

By putting clear directions on bottles of anything (not just shampoo bottles) the companies are making a statement that this is the proper way to use our product and if you aren't using it by the clear directions then we can't be held liable by the ridiculous lawsuits that we'll undeoubtedly receive from idiots. Why is it they still put directions on shampoo bottles.?
Good question, heres another, why do they have ';how to eat'; directions on David's sunflower seeds?
It is to protect them incase somone actually puts some in there eyes or drinks it.
    Liability
if they don't, they would get sued when someone drank it.
For the same reason they tell you not to use your hair dryer in the shower. Liability.
theyre are alot of people with lawsuits out there and people know their rights, just like trying to sue mcdonalds for your obese kid just becuz you didnt read nutritonal facts?!?it does sound anal but they have to to save thier butts!!
So us men can learn, LOL.. I think i sue to much shampoo my self.......
hahaha i wonder how many idiots have no problem dealing with the unbearable pain of getting shampoo in their eyes, perhaps those people use johnson and johnsons ';no more tears'; hahaha
I guess some people just never learn!
I dunno, but i got soooo confused the first time cuz it said repeat at the end. lmao (jk)
Well I think some shampoos you use differently than others. Like how many times you are supposed to repeat and what not. Also, some conditioners differ in how long you leave them on and how many days a week you use them.
rather rinse repeat, how do people not memorize it
maybe because people may see shampoo 4 the first time and they have no clue how to use it
Saves them from law suits when people start drinking it.
Because there is some redneck out there that will put it in their cereal!!

Is it weird for a guy to use shampoo that comes in a pink bottle?

Of course not. It's fine. Unless you're not comfortable with your own masculinity. Is it weird for a guy to use shampoo that comes in a pink bottle?
I believe it is only weird if you think that just because your shampoo comes in a pink bottle makes you different. I don't think that color has anything to do with who you are or what you are. The way I look at it is if you let people call you weird and you except that as gospel then you need help.Is it weird for a guy to use shampoo that comes in a pink bottle?
no...why should you care about what others think about your choice of shampoo....as long as youre washing your hair...thats all that should matter...

Body on Tap was ';beer enriched'; it had long lock of hair curled on the end, that went from top to bottom on the left side of the bottle, there was no lady on the bottle, that said Herbal Essence made a shampoo with a lady on it, love the 70's.............

Does the Dove Shampoo, in the pink bottle, for darkened color treated hair deposit color?

I had golden blonde highlights and used this one ';for lightened or highlighted hair'; but I have recently ';tinted'; over it with Natural Instincts, to make it a nice rich medium brown. I didn't cross my mind until now that I have still been using the same shampoo, but there is one for darkened hair. Should I get this bottle and what is the difference? I tried to read the back to see the ingredients of a description of the difference but it told me nothing. And does it deposit color, like ';Brilliant Brunettes'; John freida? Yes I want medium to darker brown to black hair now and should I be using a special shampoo if my natural hair color is light brown?

Thanks and sorry for the long question?Does the Dove Shampoo, in the pink bottle, for darkened color treated hair deposit color?
your fine to use that shampoo. its basicly to help keep color in. but you took your color out in the highlights. its not going to do anything. ive been a hairdresser for over 3 years and have 60 clients a week, and i have never heard of that before. you okDoes the Dove Shampoo, in the pink bottle, for darkened color treated hair deposit color?
No, these shampoos cannot deposit colour. They can't. That's not how they work.

They are made to be fairly gentle -- meaning they don't really remove much dirt and foreign material from the hair. That will preserve your coating colour for a bit longer.

Some of them contain colour pigments in them (but they can't penetrate the hair) and it is hoped that some of it will stain the hair enough to not show any fading. They really don't work that well... you would see your hands and fingernails becoming stained as well since they are made of the very same materials as your hair. If it coloured your hair, it would colour your nails and won't wash off.

It's a good gimmick, you have to admit! It does make you buy the product, and that's all it is meant to do.

The ';consumables'; such as small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, the small tubes of toothpaste, the small bars of soap are all complimentary, as is any food placed in the room. Toilet paper is not usually complimentary. Some upscale hotels also offer small grooming kits, and these would most likely be complimentary.
Shampoo/soaps and the like are ok. The coffee and teas are ok.

The bathroom cups, pillows and towels are considered theft and the hotel WILL charge your credit card if you take them. We brought a sitter on vacation with us and she took a pillow from the kids room and we were charged $125 for it.(obviously not what is was worth..but they can do it)

How big of shampoo bottles and stuff like that can you bring on a airplane?

For carry on bags, it's 3.4 fluid oz. and they go by whats on the manufacturers label, not by how much is left inside. And in a quart size bag.

In checked baggage, you can bring as much as you want. How big of shampoo bottles and stuff like that can you bring on a airplane?
Any size, but it must go inside your luggage that you CHECK-IN. Try not to take such a big bottle of shampoo and conditioner, it just make your luggage heavier. I'm sure where you are going they have shampoo and conditioner, so I recommend that you take some of those little travel bottles. Report Abuse
How big of shampoo bottles and stuff like that can you bring on a airplane?
    3 ounces.

And it's not 3 ounces of liquid -- it's liquid in no more than 3 oz containers. So a teensy bit of shampoo in a bottle larger than 3 oz will be confiscated.

And don't forget the single quart-size ziploc bag!
    3 oz bottle....
Each bottle can be up to 3.2 ounces, and all the bottles must fit in 1 1-quart-size clear plastic bag. You must take that bag out of your carry-on for screening.
The answers so far are for the USA, if you travel in a country that uses metric the sizes are:

100 ml bottles in a 1 liter plastic bag. (About the same size, but do not push the limit when you travel from the one system to the other and back.)

Best poor some shampoo in a tester bottle, or buy a tester bottle of your preferred brand, and put the big bottle in your checked luggage if you go for a long trip.

Why does the shampoo always run out before the conditioner? They are in the same size bottle!!?

either that or someone steals your shampoo (aliens maybe?)Why does the shampoo always run out before the conditioner? They are in the same size bottle!!?
really? i always run out of conditioner first. i guess it depends on what u use moreWhy does the shampoo always run out before the conditioner? They are in the same size bottle!!?
I have the opposite problem. A bottle of conditioner only lasts me a few washes. I have long hair, which I dye %26amp; straighten, therefore I have to use lots of conditioner. I would say most women use lots more conditioner than shampoo... unless you have short hair...
My conditioner always runs out first, I think because I use more with long hair.
lucky u i go through twice as much conditioner than shampoo
Like so many who said, one uses shampoo more in quantity than the conditioner. I dont face that problem much, i use a product that has both shampoo and conditioner [men's product].
i have the opposite problem. for me i use 2 conditioners for every 1 shampoo that I use. I have long hair and need lots of conditioning.
Is it because you use more shampoo per washing? Don't instructions say, ';lather, rinse, repeat'; on the shampoo?
My conditioner usually runs out before my shampoo. I think your shampoo finishes first simply because you shampoo your hair two to three times before you condition it If you want use a two in one shampoo.
I usually run out of conditioner first, it depends on your hair length and type. Now that my hair's about 11 inches shorter than it was, my shampoo and conditioner are about even, but when it was really long I used way more conditioner because the ends got so dry. It would be nice if more brands had a variety of bottle sizes so people could mix and match and not run out of one product way before the other.
We should switch leftovers. I'm constantly running out of conditioner before the shampoo.
The shamppo runs out faster cause you use it two times for each wash and only condition once.
Because on the shampoo bottle the directions are lather, rinse and repeat. The conditioner bottle says apply and rinse. You use more shampoo than conditioner.
You use more shampoo than conditioner. If you want them to last the same amount of time, use equal amounts.
Because you usually shampoo your hair two or three times. You only use your conditioner one time and you dont need that much conditioner on your hair.
Because we use Shampoo more than the conditioner
i dont know but that pisses me off too!
You use more shampoo than conditioner. Try buying a big bottle of shampoo and a smaller size conditioner if you want them to run out at the same time.
Because you use much more shampoo[as a quantity]than conditioner.
The shampoo is thinner than the conditioner. Hence, it pours faster. Thus, you both use and waste more of it each time you shampoo and condition.
Because shampoos are used more often and in larger quantities.

  • Which bottle goes in first ';Shampoo'; or ';Conditioner'; ?

As i will be washing my hair of course. It shall be damn shinny. ha haWhich bottle goes in first ';Shampoo'; or ';Conditioner'; ?
first shampoo then conditionerWhich bottle goes in first ';Shampoo'; or ';Conditioner'; ?
you need to use the right type of shampoo. Cheaper brands like fructis for example ruin your hair. I use aussie shampoo and its so good you dont even need to use conditioner. The trick is- to wet your hair and then comb it through before putting the shampoo on. Then put on the shampoo - comb it through again and then let it be for 3 mins. Then you can wash it off. Everyone that ive told this says its good!! Leaving conditioner in makes your hair greasy and causes dandruff- i dont recommend doing that. Use conditioner once or twice a week- but not everytime you wash your hair.

    Have fun hair washing xx
Shampoo. Pick one that goes with your hair type e.g frizzy, curly etc.

Then if there is a special conditioner use that too. Plus I think you can buy creams and things to make it really shiny, to put on in the morning or something. Or just ask a hairdresser what to do!! :)
shampoo removes grease and dirt residue so use first. then conditioner. dont use much conditioner near the roots or your hair could become langy. comb the conditioner through your hair with a fine toothed comb. leave on for about 10 mins. then rinse away with clean water. unless its a leave in type.
Lather with shampoo, Lather again because I don't think you've ever washed your hair before...then rinse with Conditioner. Girrrrl!
Shampoo first... the shampoo cleans out your hair and the conditioner makes your hair silky and smooth...
shampoo, shampoo, conditioner (leave on till next morning and wash the next day) Gives you shiny hair :)
    They are all wrong the water goes on first then shampoo x2 then rinse then conditioner then rinse then dry';
    shampoo...use lots of conditioner
    shampoo
what does damn shinny mean??? Have you never washed your hair?

Could I put a whole bottle of shampoo in my checked baggage?

I was just wondering if it was possible that I take big bottles (like 24 fl oz) of shampoo/conditioner/body wash with me in my checked baggage when I go to the UK this summer. Obviously tightly sealed with big gallon sized zip-locks around them though haha. I was just wondering if it was allowed through airport security. I don't have many clothes or anything so I've got loads of extra space in my suitcases (an entire suitcase worth of extra space) and I'm going to be there for 2 whole months. I figured I'd rather take with me the products I normally use so I don't have to worry about trying to find them and buy them in a completely different country. I don't want the first thing I think about when I get there is where I'm going to find my showering products..Could I put a whole bottle of shampoo in my checked baggage?
Yes, but you must check the bag/luggage in at the ticket counter (which eliminates the need to worry about the TSA checkpoint). You probably should wrap it up in case it leaks...I'm just sayin'.Could I put a whole bottle of shampoo in my checked baggage?
If you are flying out of the USA it is a ';yes';. Don't take it as carry-on bag. Or you can buy a new one when your in UK.

Can I buy a bottle of shampoo from a supermarket, relabel it and sell it as my own brand?

So basically my question is that I would like to sell small bottles of shampoo on a campsite where I have an existing shop.

I would like to be able to buy a good brand of shampoo from the supermarket and decant it into smaller bottles for one off use (or a few uses)

regardless of whether this is worth doing, profit-wise or not, what are the legal obstacles to this (if any)

I won't want to purchase rights to do so as my volume will be too small to be worth it but if I can legally do this then it will be convenient for my customers.

I also realise I can just buy the products and sell in the original bottles but I would like to rebrand it as my own product if at all possible. Can I buy a bottle of shampoo from a supermarket, relabel it and sell it as my own brand?
no, you can't do that. its considered stealing to take someone else's product, put it in a different container, and still sell it off. it's like taking a laptop, putting it in a different box and ';renaming'; the brand, and then selling it as your own product- it's illegal. Can I buy a bottle of shampoo from a supermarket, relabel it and sell it as my own brand?
    Hi John

dell was doing this for a long while, they bought unsold computers, add memory and sold it as dell computer.

    Answer to the question krone9

I would not buy it from shop, I would search through warehouses and bought small size shampoo bottles and sold them with profit.

If you sell product like shampoo I think you would have to have attest from some kind of government agency to prove it is safe to use.
Sure you can, but if you get caught, you will go to prison. If I knew you were doing this, I would report you for theft.
    It's sort of like plagerism

Gezzz Boom Boom , be careful. He sounds a little unstable from your other questions and answers . Don't get him so pissed he flips out . Just be careful ok .. BTW I had to laugh when I read this though.

EDIT; It's 17 hours later, hope you're OK Boom BoomI emptied a whole bottle of shampoo under my dads pillow and covered it up? ?
You're the guy who was upset at your father before, right? Just remember, he is your dad, he loves you. You may disagree, but dumping shampoo in his bed is a bit extreem. I would love to do something like that to my mom, but I know that it would solve nothing, and neither will this. Your best bet is to take the sign off of your door and sleep on it, you'll feel better in the morning. If you feel like crap at any time, feel free to email me. I've had to deal with a similar situation with my mom, so you might feel better talking to me.
    You need new hobbies.

Edit: You guys actually feel sorry? If his life was so endangered, he sure as hell wouldn't be on Y! Answers getting a kick out of it. Plus, he's 19 (from his profile), not a little kid.

Also, who in their right mind puts shampoo under their parent's pillow and not expect punishment? Please, give me a break.
Boom Boom I had to laugh at this. But please be extra careful he could flip out and beat you. Specially if he has beat you before. I am sorry to say this, because he is after all your father but he sounds very unstable. If he does please report him before he does serious harm to you. Instead of shampoo under his pillow though try some exlax in his coffee. He'll have the runs all day long, thats what my sister and I did to our father once when he got us upset at him. And he won't be able to blame you.
ughhhh ... wtf is that going to do, whats the question, lol i wish i could mess with my dad real bad sometimes 2. a freind of mine took the screws out of his dads swivel chair. so he fell, it was so funny. if the shampoo is white say its from the neighboor and his wife on the bed
Boom Boom OMG! Seriously? Please don't provoke him. He doesn't exactly seem like Mike Brady to me.

';in case he comes to find me again in the night.'; Boom Boom you need to get out of there.
    Very rebellious. (:

I like it. But you should have smeared it all under the covers, so when he gets into the bed, he'd get a slippery, soapy surprise! :D
You may want to get on cleaning that up. Trust me, daddies don't listen to signs on doors when they are enraged., they listen to the sound of there fists. I had to learn that one the hard way.
Your brave ! If I did that I wouldn't even try sleeping. My dad would be yelling so loud he would wake up the whole neighborhood. But luckily they'll be able to find my body.....lol...jk...

Why did you do that to your dad ?
If he beats you up then he most certainly deserves it. Awesome prank, btw XD. But yeah...you DO deserve better people around you.
You sound like you could use a hug

Can I exchange a unopened bottle of shampoo and condition to Zellers?

I bought tresseme shampoo %26amp; conditioner at zellers on august 8/2009.

and i just noticed i bought the wrong one.

i want to exchange it with the one i want. can i do that?

I haven't used it, but the pump is up (which makes me look like i did use it which i didn't cus i bought the wrong one)

it says on the back of the receipt that its within 90 days that i can exchange.

    but it also says on the back ';merchandise returned after 30 days with a receipt and paid for with any other tender type will be returned on an HBC gift card.';

    what does that mean?

thanks! Can I exchange a unopened bottle of shampoo and condition to Zellers?
    Yes, you can exchange it.

If after 30 days (Sept. 8) you decided you don't want the item and if you paid for it with tender other than cash, such as check or credit card, you'd receive a gift card instead of cash. But, since you want to exchange it, that doesn't apply to you.

Ive been using Garnier Fructis Long %26amp; Strong Shampoo %26amp; conditioner. I want to try something new. I need something in the same price range %26amp; something easily availible...

I have dry, dark brown, thick, little past shoulder-length hair, straight on top, wavy/curly below ears. I was thinking Dove (Dry therapy). I need both shampoo %26amp; conditioner.

Anybody got any suggestions? My bottle of shampoo just got over. What should I do now?
Clairol is a good brand and cheap too. Use a regular shampoo and condition your hair at the tips - the roots of your hair don't need conditioner, only the ';old'; hair needs to be treated. My bottle of shampoo just got over. What should I do now?
    try flux .........
    i love herbal essence
    Aussie shampoo %26amp; conditioner-great
    try vive
I hear Bumble and Bumble is good. You can get it at the drugstore.
Dove is a great shampoo ive used it and it does good on my hair. I really like Aussie (is in the purple bottle) Moist it does come with shampoo and conditioner all in one bottle. This helps my hair be mangable all day long and it smells great too!
herbal essence, make your hair smell gorgeous to! i love it
I have tried the garnier fructis and hated it, thought is was one of the worst, so if it worked on your hair, you have very manageable hair so anything will do fine. I have always been fond of suave products myself.
you must go for DOVE, its THE BEST
you could try herbal essence ,or the horse shampoo its really good

Look for the recycling symbol and check what number is present in the middle of that symbol. In Canada, there is a number 1 to 7 present in the middle of that symbol. Check with your local recycling plant and see which ones they accept, some places may only accept certain numbers and some places may accept all of them. I'm not sure if you have the same system in Australia but that is what I do here in Canada. I hope that helps.

Hi Love, You are going to think this is silly. I use 2 in 1 kids cherry blast or kids 2 in 1 dragon fruit. Both of these are great. They make my hair really soft, and easy to comb out. Plus they both smell very good. I almost forgot to tell the brand. It's Suave.

    Clowmy
i have to have them separate,i have very thick hair and the all in one doesnt work on my hair, being a hairdresser i learned that a cream rinse or a conditioner will ,make your hair softer shinier ,and easier to comb through
2 seperate bottles...i'm just more comfortable knowing that it really IS shampoo %26amp; conditioner.

No harm, no foul. Your hair will be fine. Soap is soap. The soap is a bit harsher than shampoo and may make your hair feel dryer, but this is not permentant. Next time you wash your hair use conditioner and it will be just fine.Accidently used my dove body wash for shampoo - i grabed the wrong bottle ...lol i was tired?
It isn't going to do any harm at all. :) Trust me on this. There was one time I didn't have any shampoo and had to use dish washing detergent on my hair! If that didn't hurt my hair, I don't think something as gentle as body wash would hurt yours. :)

In fact, to ease your mind even more, they make shower gels that can be used as both shampoo and body wash. :)
You only wasted some good body wash. Get some rest hon! =)
it won't! lol.. dove has lots of moisturizer so it could probably soften your hair as well. i sometimes use dove bar to clean my hair.

Shampoo bottles vs refillable shampoo packages?

what ingredients are used for the actual plastic bottle and the refillable pouches? (not the actual shampoo but the bottle) and what are the economic benefits of a refillable shampoo pouch?Shampoo bottles vs refillable shampoo packages?
Shampoo bottles are usually made from high density polyethylene (HDPE), which can be recycled. I've never seen a refillable pouch. The small sample-size packets of shampoo such as the individual servings provided by many motels is usually a mix of two plastics, and is seldom recyclable. It also has a much higher ratio of packaging to content. The motel pays 5 cents for 2 cents worth of content, but it doesn't risk people stealing the whole 2 dollar bottle.

What can I do with unused bottles of lotion, shampoo, soap etc?

I often get soap, lotion and shampoo as gifts and a lot of times when i see something i like i decide to switch whatever im using at the moment. for a week monitor what products etc you use by marking them with a sharpie or post it note.

at the end of the week take everything you didnt use (unless you really need it but just didnt need it that week) and give it to a charity or friends etc.

Take a second look at the bottle of shampoo and realise that it says, may contain a chicken bone
throw the shampoo container outside and after 2 days i will come back to see if it was replaced with a chicken
Trow it at my cat so she'll shut the fuc up already, gezz i love her but god she is annoying.

I were using a bottle of a supermarket's own brand shampoo and...?

...I read on the bottle it said they were against animal testing and actively research alternatives. My question is, what alternatives are there to researching medicine and how do you know that is a safe way of doing things. Don't get me wrong, I'm for animal free products, just wondered what the 'alternatives' are.I were using a bottle of a supermarket's own brand shampoo and...?
Allergy tests (skin patch) on human volunteers.

    Laboratory cultures

Experiments on deceased humans who donated their bodies

    Computer simulation

These are a few alternatives to animal testing. As for cosmetics I don't know which of the above would be used probably the first one.I were using a bottle of a supermarket's own brand shampoo and...?
As for drug testing, the failure to test on animals with a claim there are viable alternatives fails because the drug must be tested on a complex system. The prcess by which drugs are tested involves tests on cell cultures to determine if the drug has any potency and cytotoxicity. Progressing on to human cell lines. If the drug kills the cells there is no point in further development. Then onto animal testing (hopefully on an animal whose physiology and biochemistry is a good match to humans for the target organs of the drug). Failure at this point would precluse human testing. Then onto small scale human trials and if successful large scale human trials. Imagine the scenario where animal testing was not permitted and a cosmetic was tested on the skin of a volunteer, the compound passed through the skin leading to multiple organ failure and death. I' rather that was a rat, say. Also it would be unethical to ask someone to allow you to induce cancer to see if your drug could cure them.
Often the testing has already been done on all the ingredients in the store-brand product, for this reason they simply say that no animal testing was done in the manufacture of their product, and although it's technically true, it's only because it's a ';generic'; version of a product for which animal testing has already been done.
    there are alternatives

    but some are no good

tissue culture wont work for shampoo

    dead bodies will sort of

    animals are good

and well we could always test on people (elephent men case)

why not test on animal rights protesters instead of the aminals

    \^^better results
just send the results of the test on you to the company however if your hair falls out they probably won't want to know about it
They should test it on people who are against animal testing.
They test it on prisoners instead.
test it on condemned for life peeps

HELP! A bottle of green dog shampoo got spilled on my carpet. How do I clean it up? Water only made it worse?

Rub your dog on it!!!! Just kidding....use vinegar to cut the soap. If you have a wet dry vacume that would be great but just use towels to keep soaking it up. Keep adding the full strength vinegar and soaking it up. When you have it all up pour some rubbing alcohol on it and soak that up too. The alcohol will help the water to evaporate.HELP! A bottle of green dog shampoo got spilled on my carpet. How do I clean it up? Water only made it worse?
You will have to suction it out with a carpet cleaner (no soap in it) and it will take several times and a lot of clean water. The other option.. find someone to give you a demo on the ';Rainbow'; (it is an environmental cleaning system). They will do a demo for you, clean out your spot, and give you a free gift for listening to them. It is a great deal!HELP! A bottle of green dog shampoo got spilled on my carpet. How do I clean it up? Water only made it worse?
Pour table salt on it. Let it ';soak'; up as much as possible. Putting any kind of liquid on it, until you have removed most of it will result in a bigger mess.
Either call a professional carpet cleaning company or rent a Rug Doctor unit.
Use some laundry detergent to clean up along with stain remover asap before it sets.

Blot it first with old towel
water/ammonia solution, should get the stain right out of there. Don't use too much ammonia though!

My wife is driving me crazy..why would she buy a bottle of some lotion, shampoo, hair spray, etc...uses only.?

about 1/2 of it then get some other stuff. She doesnt finish the old product nor throw it away. Is this normal? We are running out of storage space quick. (BTW, she caught me trying to throw away some of her stuff on the sly so I cant do that anymore.)My wife is driving me crazy..why would she buy a bottle of some lotion, shampoo, hair spray, etc...uses only.?
You made me laugh when you said she caught you trying to throw some things away. My mother is like that. My sister and I went into the bathroom and threw away a bunch of crap that she hadn't used in years. We went back in there an hour later and the crap was right back on the shelf with a yelling match to boot. ^_^

I found that the best solution slowly throw away the older products that she hasn't touched in a while and then work your way up.

    ............

Okay, so that's not too great of a solution but you could try negotiating with her and asking her if she would go through her products with you and see which ones she actually uses (which if she's like my mom she'll find a use for anything).

    Good luck to you.

EDIT: I thought of another solution. You could purchase her Paula Begoun's ';Don't Go To The Cosmetics Counter Without Me.'; I think she would buy less products if she read this book.

    LOL.

    Perfectly normal.

I've got loads of half-used stuff in the cabinets in my bathroom.

We just like to try new things. I'll admit, it is a bit of an obsession, and we are always trying to find something that works better, smells better, makes us feel better. It's just nice to pamper yourself.

Maybe you could pamper her and she wouldn't feel the need to have so many things like that? Just a thought. Get her regular massages and spa treatments if she likes going to the spa. Then she may not feel the need to try so many new ways to feel good about herself (If that's the reason she's doing it..some of us just like trying new things and buy the latest thing that comes out) ;-)
When my Hubby gets on me about the dozens of half used product bottles and jars in our cupboard I tell him he's lucky I don't collect expensive shoes or jewelry! You are lucky too! What's the harm here? I think most women do the same thing. You might help her out and clear out a shelf that has all your holey tee shirts and ripped up underwear and let her have that space! She'll be so surprised!

So chill out and buy her a sephora gift certificate!
it is totally normal. we all do that
It sounds like she's buying the wrong products. If she hasn't consulted with her stylist (or at least someone well-informed), then you'll be stuck with her half-full bottles until she does!

The problem with over-the-counter products is that there's no guarantee that they'll work for her. A reputable salon will guarantee not only their work, but the products they prescribe and sell. It's a waste of money and space, and can be frustrating.

Have her look for a salon that can actually point her in the right direction - then donate the products she's half-used to a shelter.
Um...your asking if I can explain to you the mystery of the female mind??

I'd have an easier time explaining the theory of quantum physics....

Women are a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.
Haha, your wife sounds just like me! Yes, I think it is normal(well, maybe I'm not normal.....hmmm....) for women to only use half of a product and then find something else they like better. We have a tendency to change our minds alot and get bored with the same products over and over and over! Hope this helps.....and good luck getting rid of some of her stuff!:-)
it's a girl thing!!!we like to make sure we have enough stuff

  • Can I take my hairspray/shampoo/perfume bottles in my check in lugage?

I have expensive products that I dont wait to risk giving up and need on my trip to DC. Any comments? Can I take my hairspray/shampoo/perfume bottles in my check in lugage?
Your containers need to be less than 3.4 oz and secured in a zip loc bag no larger than 1 quart. Can I take my hairspray/shampoo/perfume bottles in my check in lugage?
Yes, you can bring all the liquids with you that you want as long as they are checked before you go through security. The rule only applies to carryon luggage.
yes as long as it is not in your carry-on. You can check your luggage with any of those.
well make sure its no glass if not you can take it but cant you just buy it on the way when you get there also mabey youll fine something better and cheper i no what you mean
Hairspray no. Shampoo and perfume ok. The internet can tell you more.
you can put it in your check in lugage instead of a carry on but if you bring it as a carry on make sure it is safley secured in a zip-lock baggy

Why does glass bottle is no longer use as a container of shampoo?

help please for my reportWhy does glass bottle is no longer use as a container of shampoo?
Too dangerous, should the glass break and hit your feet. Plus, I'd imagine plastic bottles are easier to produce than glass. Why does glass bottle is no longer use as a container of shampoo?
When glass bottles are dropped they can break. Plastic bottles don't so they are safer to use in the shower. It isn't good to have broken glass in the shower where you will probably have bare feet.

Can I recycle my old shampoo and conditioner bottles?

And, could I just put them in my regular recycle (paper and plastic), or would I have to take them to a recycling center? Can I recycle my old shampoo and conditioner bottles?
There are seven (7) categories of plastics (or resins). Check for the recycle symbol on your bottles. The recycle company that services our area will only take type #1 and type #2 plastics for curbside pick-up. Chances are that your shampoo and conditioner bottles are either #1 or #2 as those two categories account for 90% of resin packaging.

Otherwise, check the link below for a local place to recycle other resin/plastic types. Can I recycle my old shampoo and conditioner bottles?
check the bottle, but I would suspect they would be able to be recycled
Check the bottom of the bottle, it will have the recycle symbol on it if it's recyclable.

I'm able to do mixed recycling where I live, so I put everything that is recyclable in paper bags. Pretty cool!
Don't worry about it. Just burn the plastic ones in a burn barrel.
look for the recycle symbol on the bottle or ask you recycle center what numbers they take. that should be on the bottle also i think 7 is the highest number? you should double check, you can recycle almost anything even some bags your bread comes in is recyclable :)
In New York, these items can be recycled once you rinse it.

My bottle of shampoo says lather , rinse, repeat......how many times do I do so?

BEST ANSWER GETS LOTSA STARS........My bottle of shampoo says lather , rinse, repeat......how many times do I do so?
Don't follow those instructions--they're just trying to get you to waste shampoo. Lather and rinse well. Unless you just doused your hair in motor oil, there's no reason to repeat.

Overshampooing can dry hair.My bottle of shampoo says lather , rinse, repeat......how many times do I do so?
If you follow the directions right, you'll never finish. Go get back to it and clean the suds off your keyboard.
I wash once with Shampoo and then use conditioner unless its has been a few days since my last wash (I am a new mom) then I wash twice to cut the grease! lol. Happy Sudzin' up!
Meaning Lather, Rinse, and repeat daily. Or twice a day if you wish to do so.

    Hope this helps.
Until all of your hair are gone.
You don't have to do the ';repeat'; part unless you absolutely want to. If you have alot of product in your hair or if your hair is really greasy or dirty then you probably should shampoo twice. If you wash your hair everyday then you only need to lather, scrub, and rinse!

The ultimate reason of repeating is to make sure you get all the product off your scalp and hair so you don't get product build up and clog your hair folicle.
