Does the Dove Shampoo, in the pink bottle, for darkened color treated hair deposit color?

I had golden blonde highlights and used this one ';for lightened or highlighted hair'; but I have recently ';tinted'; over it with Natural Instincts, to make it a nice rich medium brown. I didn't cross my mind until now that I have still been using the same shampoo, but there is one for darkened hair. Should I get this bottle and what is the difference? I tried to read the back to see the ingredients of a description of the difference but it told me nothing. And does it deposit color, like ';Brilliant Brunettes'; John freida? Yes I want medium to darker brown to black hair now and should I be using a special shampoo if my natural hair color is light brown?

Thanks and sorry for the long question?Does the Dove Shampoo, in the pink bottle, for darkened color treated hair deposit color?
your fine to use that shampoo. its basicly to help keep color in. but you took your color out in the highlights. its not going to do anything. ive been a hairdresser for over 3 years and have 60 clients a week, and i have never heard of that before. you okDoes the Dove Shampoo, in the pink bottle, for darkened color treated hair deposit color?
No, these shampoos cannot deposit colour. They can't. That's not how they work.

They are made to be fairly gentle -- meaning they don't really remove much dirt and foreign material from the hair. That will preserve your coating colour for a bit longer.

Some of them contain colour pigments in them (but they can't penetrate the hair) and it is hoped that some of it will stain the hair enough to not show any fading. They really don't work that well... you would see your hands and fingernails becoming stained as well since they are made of the very same materials as your hair. If it coloured your hair, it would colour your nails and won't wash off.

It's a good gimmick, you have to admit! It does make you buy the product, and that's all it is meant to do.
